It actually is a big deal. You really need to take some time to think it through to understand that. Either that or you are a troll and I’m just wasting my time right now 🤷‍♂️

I played tribes ascend in the past, and it was TONS of fun. Even if I did suck at actually hitting anything while zooming around lol.

And yet they tend to be a worse experience, release before they are ready with DLC already ready to go, riddled with microtransactions and other awful issues. They aren’t worth more.

The days of me paying full price for AAA titles is over. Even some of the series I used to love were disappointments when new titles came out. Indie games have been giving me far more enjoyment and repeatability so until the big AAA studios figure shit out they can take their overpriced shovelware and cram it where the sun don’t shine.

If that’s what they want to take away than fuck them. Focus on the shit that has to do with loot boxes and micro transactions. If they want people to engage more irl the solution isn’t to ruin the only outlet I and others have, it’s to improve people’s lives where they don’t view escaping into games as a necessity to get away from depressing reality. Just my two cents.

Lmao, right because leaving it in the hands of the corrupt corporations is better.

I can tell I have more experience in the real world just from your comment. Nothing is black and white and you not being able to understand others doesn’t change their reality or the world’s reality. Have a nice day and hopefully are able to grow and gain more experience and knowledge of the world moving forward.

They really did. The victim blaming is insane. These companies spend money to leverage psychology in their favor to get people addicted to the dopamine rushes from things like microtransactions and loot boxes. Not everyone is able to resist that kind of conditioning on such a large scale.

I loved a number of assassins creed games in the past. Even played a few of the more recent ones when they are on sale. But I kind of stopped caring about the over arcing story a long while ago. I just enjoy the stuff happening in the past in those games.

I dont think there are any series I’m invested in the story enough to play a shitty mobile/gacha game for.

It’s not that. It’s that the fewer people they have to pay the more money they get to keep. It’s incredibly short sighted and self destructive. But they don’t care at this point.

I’m already able to use remote play on my laptop which is only slightly less convenient and can work outside of my home. Why would I want to spend so much for a mobile option that isn’t very mobile?

In other words, they were called out far more than they expected and they lost control. So they created another to try and regain control.

My hold up for melee action-rpgs is that all of them end up being souls-like games and its boring.

I’m not going to even consider playing again till more comes out about it. Diablo is grindy by design and I have no interest in going through the grind until I know that there is going to be a good return on that effort.

See the cynic in me is wondering whether it was actually a mistake like they said, or if it’s a cover up.

Jesus that far too many. I hadn’t really played any AC until AC3 either but last year I got like black flag for cheap on the switch and it wasn’t bad.

I am trying to get back to just enjoying games more. I dont know when I went from enjoying the ride to being so competitive in wanting to unlock and complete everything I can for everything. It used to be there to a certain extent when I was younger but I think my playing WoW with raiding and everything got me locked into this completions, min/max mindset. Which is fine for some things but tiring when it ends up being the mindset for everything I play.

That seems like a much more enjoyable and relaxed way to go about it. I am trying to get back to the core of gaming i.e. just enjoying the ride. So maybe this really is the game I need to just sit down and play.

I had/have the first two quests. But needing a Facebook account was one thing I had to think hard about when I got it because I wanted to delete my account. With Facebook getting worse and worse it means I have zero desire to get a new one.

And to address the article, I would say it isn’t that interest in VR is decreasing, people don’t want meta VR or anything tied to Zuckerberg. I would love a valve index personally, just need to wait to afford it.

That sounds like a good idea. Over the years I got so used to playing games where you try to find and unlock everything and where there’s an endgame you have to prepare for. It’s very hard to break that mindset.

I own baldurs gate 3. But if im honest games with that much choice tend to make me feel overwhelmed since I don’t want to miss anything or ruin anything down the road.

Ah damn I didn’t think of that. I feel for them, but elon is the last person they should trust for that. I don’t honestly know who they should trust these days. But techbros aren’t one of them.

Honestly, interface chips in our brains would be a logical step at some point in the future. But hell would need to freeze, then thaw, then freeze over again before I trust anything of elons being inserted in my brain.

If people did it your way we would still have slavery and women wouldn’t be able to vote or hold jobs. There comes a point where the people preaching the reasoned approach are simply helping the oppressors. I’m not saying people should go out making death threats, but expecting people who’s livelihoods are threatened by greed to shut up and martyr themselves or go through broken channels that don’t work is stupid and not going to happen.

I’m just saying, they are the ones making it so the peaceful options don’t work/are ignored. If that’s how they are going to be then it’s time for torches and pitch forks. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

That only works if there is a path already in place to do these things and a willingness to take that path. People are sick and tired of trying to go through “official” channels to fix things when it’s obvious those channels are designed in a way that completely works against them. Yes, this potentially could destroy the livelihood for some and if threatening waste of oxygen management that cares nothing for others is the only path to create change, than it’s a great time to be a vendor selling pitch forks and torches.

Or they could actually be different and not make yet another souls like game

If that were true it would still be a good reply since you obviously expended no mental effort in your comment.

I remember fondly playing overwatch 1 with my friends and sinking in hundreds of hours. If they wanted to break into the steam market they should have done it with the first one. Not with their lackluster, phoned in sequel. This was just stupid of them.

I’ve had my quest 2 for a while now but not used it in a bit. Certainly not making me want to play it or get anything new for it.
