I’ve replayed recently. It’s still fun 😊 But I have to admit, it’s best on a CRT monitor. Don’t try to modernise the experience.

I remember being so excited for 64bit Far Cry. Had no idea what it meant. But I was excited!

I got a VR headset a few months ago, tried a few games that I really enjoyed but nothing stuck apart from my beloved flight sim 2024. But this sounds like fun.

I’ve been playing Dying Light 2 after seeing some gameplay videos for the new one coming out this week. It made me think, I never finished that as I did buy it at or close to launch but got bored after 50hrs or so. But I think they’ve done a lot of updates on the combat and movement since release because the game feels so much better, I’m having a blast!

You’d think since 2005 they’d be experienced enough to know how to work with UE but noooo…

I briefly watched Jackfrags video on it. The graphics aren’t even anything special, the world isn’t overly populated and I can’t imagine there would be any overly complex calculations running in the background and it performs like shit.

Fuck these fucks.

The dismemberment was somewhat pioneering in its day. I remember SOF 2 as one of the first FPS’s to have foliage in its level design. The gunplay and audio was also great for its time. Other notables I remember were Hexen, Heretic and the Jedi outcast / Jedi Academy games.

I have such a soft spot for Raven. I really wish they could break free and make great games again.

If it has a demo like old school days, then I’d try that. If hard to pirate, but it really seems like something I’d enjoy and has mostly favourable reviews then I buy it.

It’s really hard to be excited because of Ubi.

They’ll market it as some hardcore, gritty milsim but yet still feels so arcadey to appeal to the masses.

I get it, more mass appeal = more money =soul lost.

If I’m interested in a game, I usually download a repack to try it out and if I like it, I’ll buy it.

This is my in game performance monitor:

Does it feel smooth? Yep!

Keep playing.

It’s getting harder but they are there. But hey, if I break my leg and go to ER at a public hospital, even though I have to wait a shit load of hours, I won’t pay anything when I walk out.

As an Aussie who has always enjoyed playing (and making) games, I’ve had free healthcare all my life and have only worked my arse off… Like most people I know.

That’s pretty much all that needs to be said. Sell yourself for that $$$$$. Fucking whore fucks.

Almost the same amount of unplayed games in my library.

I enjoyed the first one a lot but the second one I couldn’t get into. The removal of guns had me bored after a while and it just wasnt the same. Apparently they have introduced guns now but I’m in no rush to check it out.

That actually sounds like a good idea. As a half Pole I’d probably enjoy that

I tried playing the 3rd one and I really couldn’t get past Geralt’s voice and voice acting. I couldn’t stand it. Probably just me though.

This one won’t have Path Tracing, the GPU will absorb light from the atmosphere and project it onto your screen at 15 fps.

I always imagined that we’d all log into steam one day and there it will be, a big banner for HL3 available now.
