Do you have any games that you like but you never finished for any reason? Which game is it? Doesn’t matter how many times you play and replay it you just never get to see the credits roll. I think Skyrim gonna be a quite common answer xD

Outer Wilds. I got super into it for a few days, got distracted and stopped for a bit, then couldn’t remember what I was supposed to do when I picked it up again. I should really start again from scratch but haven’t been able to convince myself to do so yet

Oh man you gotta go back and finish this one. It’s become one of my favorite games of all time

I bought it recently because I heard very high praise both for the game and the unofficial VR mod. It’s been stuck in my backlog for a while now, though.

I was in to this one too but it made me car sick in the worst way. Eventually I just put it down and didn’t go back

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

I got to the point where I nearly finished it, but I just stopped playing. I was enjoying it so I figured that I’d wait a few years till the whole of it was out to finish the first part. That way I can go through it and not have to be stuck listening to news and rumors as to when the story would finish.

A lot of other people’s nostalgia games. Controls were so bad back in the day. The most notable example would be Vampire Masquerade.

Played heaps of Warhammer and rarely reach the long victory condition. Ah well one day maybe I’ll finish a full campaign!

Heretic, Hexen, and Hexen II.

Death Stranding started playing it twice, played throught almost the whole story but never finished it.

The story is truly great. I understand the gameplay can be a bit boring, but maybe try to look at it as more meditative than anything.

Strangely enough, I quite liked the gameplay.

I loved it myself as well

Skyrim … Yes I played over 200 hours but never finished the main quest. I always start a new game.

Darkest Dungeon, in my case. Love the vibe, love the gameplay, realise that I’ll be doing basically the same thing for the next 60 hours if I want to beat it, lose interest.

I have to restart Hollow Knight because I got stuck in an impossible area called the king’s dream I think? I got fed up with the difficult challenge and could exit it so I quit

Shadows of Mordor. I’ve started the game a few times. Thought “oh yeah this is a game I could sink hours into”. Then I get bored, turn the game off, and won’t touch it for another year.

I have 371 games in my Steam account, not including any GOG or Epic games. I have 1 game with all the achievements and my average completion rate is 25%. I would say I rarely “finish” a game. I just move on to the next one. And that’s ok with me.

The long dark

Divinity Original Sin Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Yoshi’s Crafted World Skyrim Ixion (I definitely wanna go back to this, though) Donkey Kong Country (all 3) Fallout: New Vegas Fallout 4 (at least, I don’t THINK I got a credits roll) Space Chem

… most of them, embarrassingly. I buy games when they’re on steep sale, but rarely actually gst to the end of them (Hollow Knight was the last one I completed, as I recall).

Elden Ring, it seriously burnt me out exploring every crevasse…

This would have to be mine too. I played for 80ish hours and stopped right after I made it to the Capital. I still feel like I got my money’s worth and enjoyed every minute of it.

Same here. Currently at Maliketh and not super interested in dealing with his shenanigans 😂 maybe I’ll decide to one day.
