World of Goo 2 was quite a surprise reveal late last year and now it actually has a released date, although it won't be on Steam.

Epic Store

Nope, I’m out.

The developers today announced it will be on the Nintendo Switch, Epic Store and a DRM-free version direct from their own website on May 23rd. Their website will be the only place to get the Linux version.

Alright, I’m back in.

Does that mean if I buy it on epic I can still download it from the website?

Likely not. Just buy it from their site. Why are you trying to give Epic money?

Oh I’m just trying to follow the logic of the title.

I guess I’ll wait for it on a platform with a Linux client, then.

Why not get it DRM free from their website so you can keep the install file and don’t have to depend on a launcher?

It sounds like they are selling the Linux version on their website. The way it’s worded in the title makes it sound like a web app.

All versions are available on the website. If it’s in any way similar to the first release, you get all executables for all platforms when purchasing directly from them.

If a game launches on Epic Store but isn’t given away for free did it really launch?
