Sony, just take the L.
The part not quoted in the headline about “the use of business expenses” aligns with the rumors/leaks that from a couple of months ago. Apparently there were or perhaps still are misgivings from the workforce towards the Bungie management who promised unrealistic timelines to Sony in exchange for a mega paycheck. The fear of losing independence comes apparently more from the management side than the workforce.
Maybe Sony’s President should develop a game their own damn self.
Does Sony get the money fom Bungie back then?
reminder that sony basically only launched one major 1st party game last year (spiderman 2)
i dont think that problem is solely Bungie.
It’s nice to want things.
Bungie was so happy to leave their contract with Microsoft. They wanted to self-publish their games.
Know how many games Bungie has self-published after they developed Halo Reach, their final game under Microsoft?
Zero.
Destiny 1 and 2 were launched under Activision. And then they sold out to Sony (who way overpaid).
Most of the people that actually made the magic happen with Halo are gone from the studio.
After 30+ years they’re not gonna start now
