It’s mostly fine if you go for the skibidi tree fragments. There’s a couple of bosses feel like they were designed out of spite though, specially the final one.

Am I weird in thinking that once you get to the Mountaintops of Giants it becomes harder than any other Souls base game?

They wouldn’t have a leg to stand on legally, but it puts me off that a lot of the designs are just blatantly copycats. There are great monster catching games out there with actual original designs that would kill for 5% of the attention Palworld got.

To be fair to the ROG, it doesn’t run really well on anything

Prince of Death’s Staff

Increased attribute scaling.

Golden Order Seal

Increased attribute scaling.

You better give me some FTH/INT weapons, From.

PS: Note to everyone who wants to help people get past Mohg for the DLC, you can only use the “nearby summon” mode

On one hand, maybe having the child maltreatment victim crack jokes all the time would be a little inappropriate. On the other hand, that describes like 4 people I know.

On the other other hand, one Astarion is enough

Kinda nuts that the least popular (of the big 3) device that gen sold like 80 million units. It’s no wonder everyone was scared of mobile by the end, you can see the impact it made.

Also shows how the Switch was a clever move by Nintendo, getting a lot of that audience back

I picked up the first one like a year back and ended up playing it through in two long sessions.

I relate to the Mass Effect 2 comments. One of my absolute favorite RPGs that fails at basic RPG things.

We’re not even close to fully reactive and physicalized flora and fully destructible environments so it’ll be a long way until we hit a wall. In some ways we’ve even gone backwards in that regard from the PhysX days.

I like those but I wish they also did Xbox style rumble triggers. I also wish they allowed you to freely customize how hard you have to press the triggers and the distance.

Microsoft says it won’t do slimy things, hopes everyone forgot their entire history and the concept of capitalism

Wasn’t the budget 4.4 million to develop, and then distributed by Paradox?

I don’t know if a higher up will see the numbers on PoE 2 and decide they should invest like 20 times the game’s budget to match BG3 on a sequel. Specially a Microsoft higher up. Even if they made a CRPG I think they’d go for a different franchise.

Come to think of it, that will depend on how well Avowed does.

Hopefully they carry it through to the next (hopefully) Pillars of Eternity game

I wish I had the same hope that another Pillars game will be developed.

Other than being super broken, it’s still the same game at its core, minus the DLC content and the graphical updates (and the paid mod store).

I think the only non-MMO that was completely transformed over time with patches I can think of is No Man’s Sky

I thought the one thing everyone agreed was done well in their last games was “pick any direction, you’ll find something interesting”. Which is also missing on this game

I feel bad for the devs. Clearly they’re talented but they’re stuck making the most uninteresting game since Battleborn. I don’t see how this game won’t struggle to find an audience.

I can’t read John Romero and not think about how he’s about to make me his bitch

Has timed exclusivity of any game made someone buy a console? It always felt like a ridiculous notion to me.

Maybe it’s because I never buy games at launch

I bought 3 years of Gamepass when they had that $1 upgrade thing and right before they increased the local pricing. Will probably be the only and final subscription I have when it’s over in a couple of years
