ARC Raiders players on PC can use a trick to manipulate the game. They do this by changing their system date while in the game, forcing the state forward and tricking the game’s internal calendar. By doing this, some users have revealed future map conditions, trials, and other additions.

I’m enjoying the game so far but I feel like no matter how many hours I’m able to put into it I’m just going to keep being so far behind everyone else. I’m glad they’ve implemented ABMM because getting shot in the back all the time was getting old.
Same here. It has seriously been an amazing game I’ve played the shit out of strictly based on that. Now if they’d adjust the blueprint drop rate a bit…I’d be ecstatic.
Abmm?
Sorry, “aggression based match making”. As I understand it: The more you PvP the more PvP players you’ll play with, the more you help and PvE the more you end up in lobbies with people that do that. It’s not a science or exact but I’ve noticed a lot less people shooting at me the more matches I’ve played.
That’s a pretty cool mechanic tbh
I’ve only taken friendly actions and still keep getting put into matches with PvPers that shoot me on sight and keep shooting after I tell them I am friendly. Had 3 matches in a row where I was ganked and lost everything each time. Their matchmaking is still trash. I uninstalled.
It takes 4-5 matches to graduate out of pvp
112 hours of gameplay and still being shot on sight after stating I was friendly, don’t shoot.
I mean clearly you’re doing something wrong. Or not describing things accurately.
Sorry to hear that. I’m speaking from experience when I’m telling you it gets better. I got ganked probably a handful of time and since then haven’t run into them. I’m telling you you should really give it a shot again. It may have been this was instated after you gave up as I’m not sure when it was put into place.
I gave up last night. I wrote a review in one of the gaming forums if you want to see what I thought about it. Jimquisition also wasn’t impressed by it. I gave up last night after a total of 112 hours of game play. I don’t think it’s a fun or good game. Clearly I’m in the minority of players, but I won’t be back until there are strictly PvE lobbies.
What a trash article ngl. Not even an effort to pretend any sort of objectivity or rational arguments.
Bro is mad about AI so game bad. Saved you a click.
aggression based matchmaking. the game puts you with people who pvp as much as you do.
So if I only pve, it will place me with other non violent players? Neat!
Yes. I play stealthy and non-aggro and most of the time my lobbies are full of people dicking around with no fear of aggression from other people because the rats are busy killing each other in the aggro lobbies.
For the most part, yes. Not a guarantee but I played like ~50 some hours over winter break, all solo, all peaceful. Ended with like 3 deaths due to players.
It is, however, not smart enough to separate solo and party behavior. So if you play aggressive with your buddies but peaceful solo, there is a very painful transition period.
Honestly by what I’ve seen and heard it’s minimum reward for a whole lot of effort. I guess it’s great for no lifers, kids, and streamers but idk, just no real draw. Especially with how crazy low drop rates are for blueprints. I have a ton of hours and still don’t have everything.
I feel the same … I don’t have the same amount of hours to put into a game like this.
I like how it is implemented, other extraction games force the reset. Making it optional means I’m not going to give up at the first wipe and never come back and I don’t play enough to notice another player having 4 more skill points than me.
I like what they’ve done with making it optional. I will say though I think it missed the mark of giving me the feeling of a real seasonal wipe. I didn’t get that magical feeling of playing with all my best gear, losing it, and then having that early game poor life style with everyone.
This is probably because:
All that to say, I think they should consider some changes on the economy and gun balance to make gear feel more deep and impactful. I think they absolutely need to improve their expedition system and season change over.
I agree with all of that. The 5 million goal was a bad design, in other extraction shooters the week/days leading up to the wipe is always full of people doing crazy things with gear that’s getting deleted anyway. Having to save every piece of equipment until the very end just feels bad.
I’d like to see more gear along the lines of the Hullbreaker. Items that are specifically for fighting the ARC and, because of their properties are less useful against players, they could give you ‘gamebreaking’ abilities/damage/etc without worrying about the weapons being used to dominate PvP.
Then maybe some kind of frontline PvE ARC raid with species of ARC that are more dangerous than the ones in the plains/foothills.
I would love to see a redesign of the major map conditions and raid bosses that require teamwork to accomplish but provide no system that requires it leading to a ton of bad behavior.
I’d love to see, sorta as you described, them turn into a PvE mode where the Arc are turned up to 11 and their unique rewards are all you’re really getting out with. This would be a good place to bring out and risk your best gear because instead of worrying about a never ending stream of rats, you can just worry about the large volume of arc while trying to accomplish the goal.
Like imagine if the raid bosses were PvE, the map was empty (because it was after another map’s countdown let’s just pretend), the Arc was omnipresent, and the raid boss guaranteed everyone who extracts 1 boss core (obviously the boss would still have more on it that was salvageable to reward players who actually fight and survive). I think that would be way better than the current implementation where they’re incentivizing players to 1) just break leg armor, get a core, leave 2) rat people who are doing the boss and steal their loot 3) rat the boss after it’s complete so people who did all the work get even less rewards.
This I HARD agree on. Non-optional resets / wipes in Tarkov got tedious as fuck, especially redoing the quest lines over and over. It’s super nice they make it optional.
