Hello fellow bucket lovers! I’ve posted here before about my game called Do Not Press The Button (To Delete The Multiverse): STEAM LINK
And I’ve gotten very positive feedback and even a few of you did play-tested my game. From what screenshots I’ve posted here, people seem to like it a lot and today I wake up and find out that I’ve gotten over 5000 wishlists! This something I never imagined when I was starting this goofy ass project! So thank you to everyone!

Were you inspired to make your game by any of these? they seem similar:
paragraph where I tried to remember the name of dude stop
I started writing this comment to ask about a specific itch.io or gamejolt game, but I can’t remember the title, it was a downloadable point and click game similar to There Is No Game, it had a narrator, several trophies that the narrator would give you, (including bad ones for disobeying the narrator) and I think a demo. I remember it being popular around the time of the original There Is No Game and
No, main insperations where Stanley Parable, Portal and Watch Paint Dry (A Half-Life 2) mod. Out of these I’m a big fan of Firewatch and Superliminal
I went from being glad this goofy-looking game is getting some attention to realizing I wasn’t one of those 5000 wishlists already. Oops.
Game looks like it’ll be a fun little experience, I’m looking forward to it!
Thank you for the wishlist! You are very generous!
congrats. Can’t wait to try it :)
Thank you for your trust! :)
EZ wishlist, thank you for posting here or I would have never heard of this! Take the other commenter’s advice about not sending out tons of review copies to “curators” who will resell your game. My partner and I will both be picking this up when it’s out!
Thank you for your generosity and your advice :) I remember actually getting quite a few requests for my FIRST game and I was happy to send out keys, because I was just content with someone showing interest in my project. Later on I figured that it was scammers…
Can I ask what your first game is?
It’s called Pizza Synthwave.
Just a tip as an indie dev. Some people could reach out to you to promote your games, defining themselves as curators, promoters and the sort. Check their history; abstain from handing multiple Steam keys for free. These keys could end up in third party markets (like g2a, kinguin) , reducing actual sales for your games. Check their legitimacy first.
Thank you! Do you mean hear on Lemmy?
Not specifically on Lemmy, but basically any way you could be contacted as the developer of the game
This video explains it from the perspective of someone that found their keys given resold on other platforms:

Thank you so much! :) I had this issue with my first game, now I just try ignore these scammers
looks like 5000 people already failed the game 😂 im sure u probably heard that a lot im sorry
Hah, it isn’t out yet, but they will get their chance :D
