Someone else also said “you can find the correct image on Minerva archive” and another said they found a site called cdromance that was surprisingly clean (no fake download ad links, etc) so I’m gonna look around those later to see if I can get one that matches the checksum, just to be safe!

Edit: cdromance is the same version as Archive, wrong hash. OR I’M CHECKING HASHES WRONG?! It says SHA1 so in running

Get-FileHash -Path “R:\Dusk\twiprin.rvz” -Algorithm SHA1

I wonder if that’s not correct? Cuz it’s not giving me any errors when I use it…

I’m not at my computer but I searched something like “dusk twilight princess gc dump” and found dumps in two different formats on the front page of DDG! One was at archive.org and one at Vimm’s Lair. They both booted up totally fine in Dusk!

Fuckin crazy that I read the phrase “sim swapping” in your comment right as a podcast episode from almost a decade ago is describing someone being sim swapped without using that term.

The private trackers in on all only had Wii or PAL GC… success is found at both Vimm and archive tho!

Noted, thank you! It’s not a big problem if I can’t toggle texture packs. I’m excited to try this! I’ve only played for a couple hours, on the Wii. Twilight Princess is my partner’s favorite Zelda game, though!

Oooo I wonder if I can play it on the computer…

Edit: yes indeed! I think my partner wants to try it, so that’s great news!

GitHub sucks now, but I don’t think this project is gonna vanish—Ship of Harkinian hasn’t gone anywhere :3

Can you toggle between modes, I wonder? I installed a mega high rez texture pack on Ship of Harkinian and toggling between old graphics and high-rez textures was mindblowing hahaha

I have a couple of every big controller including two steam controllers. Dualsense is my favorite due to the amazing haptics and adaptive triggers. I am 100% picking up two new steam controllers tho. They’re a STEAL for the tech. Four rear buttons? Drooool. I’m always trying to figure out how to PTT when I’m using a controller. Solved! I don’t use gyro often (unless I’m emulating Switch or playing like Ship of Harkinian) and I won’t use the touchpads much but everything else looks incredible.

I hope they come back in stock soon…

There’s some good sections! Uhhh and uhhh it’s better than Reddit? Ugh, a bar so low not even Barbados Slim could limbo…

Tagged you as “Based and Ye Ole Internet-Pilled” in lovely #96D35F—my first user tag NOT in a shade of poo brown!

…OP has absolutely earned his #403310.

See XeroxCool’s reply posted riiiiight next to where you asked these questions—it answers them both accurately and succinctly, as if they predicted you’d ask those questions shortly in the future!

You literally are on the internet where you can so easily find out the definition of a word, yet you choose ignorance… nah, you know you’re wrong and you’re just fuckin with people to be le ebic trolololol

Look how they’ve massacred my internet lingo D:

It’s literally not a meme. Not even “figuratively not a meme”. It’s less of a meme than Milhouse, and Milhouse is not a meme.

Whoa… I realize I am old now that the word “meme” no longer means “meme” in any way, shape, or form. It’s a totally different thing now? See: “Forced meme”

tl;dr: this is not a meme

They did straight up steal one of the starters’ design straight from Cassette Beasts, even down to the name lawl

It does, and that sucks ass, agreed. But the person saying it doesn’t work on Linux is straight up lying hahaha

Who upvotes this bullshit without even a lazy cursory check to learn it’s completely false?

Except it’s a straight up lie, it works on Linux and runs fine on steam decks

Ugh PUBG was one of the best games ever when it came out for computer. Full of jank, sure, but every time you started a new game, it was an ADVENTURE! I always landed far away from people so I could get max exploring in. I loved that there were tons of garbage items on the floor, like clothing and stuff. It made every time you found a nice gun or attachment feel AWESOME. Then as the round is further in, I’m armed to the teeth and driving a bike with a sidecar towards the action. Then I hit a twig and my bike launches into orbit, doing 500 flips, exploding on impact. Except the time it didn’t—I was driving and my partner was in the sidecar, we launched and did a million flips, and it landed without so much as a bounce (doing damage to us and lighting on fire, but not killing us!) I wish I had a clip from that moment, with our reactions.

Then PUBG mobile came out, and a friend of mine was sooo into it, and soooo stoked that he got so many kills and was so good at the game. I’m not a teen anymore so I’m not a fun-ruiner like I was back then; I didn’t have the heart to tell him he was playing against majority boys with bad AI, and the game has crazy auto aim for players.

The computer version removed all bad loot, so everything you find was guns, ammo, attachments… suddenly everything was inundated with loot. If I wanted that, I’d just go play a game with load outs! I want to have to hunt for good gear, that’s what made the game so unique for me!

Then PUBG went full on garbage mode. Removed proxy-chat, went F2P, and added bots. Fuck bots! Ruins the concept of the game completely. I uninstalled the day bots were added and never played again.

I am very happy to have had a few 1v99 wins before bots were added. My first win against 99 others happened maybe 50 hours in, and my watch warned me my heart rate hit 180. I’ve never felt that kind of rush from a game before or since.

If we’re going by THAT metric, Pokémon would top this list hahaha

Nahhh everyone wanted Red Steel (lawl)

Heyo yeeee! I used to get them mixed up a lot. I swear there was a noclip one I knew, but it’s lost to the void of my mind hahaha

Based and “I hope this place has ancient bones…”-pilled

I only skimmed a couple reviews because I like going into games blind. My favorite game experience I’ve ever played was *Ragnarok Online”, which had basically no quests or goals other than “be in the world and make a name for yourself amongst all the other godly player characters who sit around and chat wearing hats.”

No direction or NPCs telling you what to do. Move one map over to explore a new place and get one-shotted by a flower from across the map doing 5x as much damage per hit as your max health. Then come back after you’ve explored for 40 hours and kick fuckin flower ass for eight hours and lose a day of your life grinding and chatting.

I think Kenshi might be my kinda game.

Without me looking it up, I’m going to guess “IDDQD”? I only remember that one and “IDKFA” which I thiiiink was guns and ammo.

They were! I got lucky—I have some raspberry Pis and a dashcam, so I bought like ten endurance and extreme or whatever performance MicroSD cards mid-last-year. My partner was like “do you NEED those?”

“nahhh but I wanna have them as backups on-hand”

“Absolutely fair!”

Now while cleaning last weekend, I found a couple 128-256GB endurance cards and a bunch of 256-512GB SanDisk Extreme micros I tested for authenticity and put in a box. Looked up the prices now and… woof!

I booted up my Vita for the first time in a long time recently and was, as happens every time, astounded at how absolutely incredible the OLED screen looks. Also laughed at how small the Sony branded memory stick in it is, compared to the big ol high end SD card in the SD2Vita.

Criminally underrated console… especially now, hacked, it can play all PSP games, hold shit tons of games on an (until recently oh god) WAY cheap SD card, and emulate tons of old consoles on its magnificent OLED screen.

Only complaint is the PSP’s D-pad is way better for my favorite PSP/Vita series, DJ Max Portable. Buttons too, but I modded my PSP’s buttons and D-pad to make them hair-trigger sensitive (most terrifying mod I’ve ever done and I’m so proud of it)

I can doooo it… I just… yah nope you’re totally right, I can’t do it anymore. When they released the N3DSXL I bought one INSTANTLY for Monster Hunter, and bought a Circle Pad Pro for my partner… no way to go back hahaha.

Then realized the circle pad pro was dope and the C-nub on the N3DSXL is complete garbage, so I ripped the C-nub out with a knife and popped a PSP joystick from my spare PSP onto my DS… works incredibly. Snapped in like it was MADE for the N3DS!

I wonder if my Vita’s second stick works in old PSP MH games in Adrenaline? I can’t imagine it does, but I’d kill to play through MH 3RD (Eng patch) again with two sticks…

Excellent, thank you for the recommendation! I have to re-learn how to get games on Adrenaline on my vita—Kenka Bancho sounds awesome.

Ugh I do NOT miss all my hours of THE CLAW in MH and MH 3rd… but I do miss getting together with all my friends as teens/young 20ses to smoke the devil’s lettuce and hunt all day.

> we’re turning off clipping.

Awwwh, but ’96 Neve Campbell is such a banger!

Insane! I just picked up MH stories 1, MH stories 2, MH Rise, and Sunbreak all for less than half that price hahaha. I won’t even play rise again, I played it to death on the switch, but it was only a couple bucks more to add it to my collection!

Not related to STS2 or this topic, but if you really enjoyed Inscryption, I stroooongly urge you to play Daniel Mullins’ other big game, “The Hex.” I went in blind on the advice of someone when I was back on Reddit. They told me

“Don’t watch the trailer, don’t read anything, the weird graphics in the screenshots will make sense like a half hour in. It’s so cheap but it’s an incredible game.”

I picked it up, started it with my partner, and we marathoned it in a couple days. We could have gone faster but we took our sweet time, there were MULTPLE mind-blowing moments for us, and it has ties to the Inscryption world, too. Like nobody has played it compared to Inscryption and I find that insane. I started with Inscryption and loved it, it’s got more replay value than The Hex, but overall I think I’d rate The Hex a tad higher in overall game quality. It’s so… I can’t say anything more without spoiling stuff. Go in blind, it’s worth it!

If you or anyone else reading this heeds my advice, PLEASE let me know what you think of the game once you’re… like, into the game a bit and “get it.”

The Hex and “The Forgotten City” (a game NOT by Daniel Mullins) are two games I went into completely blind, wouldn’t have it any other way, and wish above all other games I could experience again with no memory of the games.

Please go play the Hex, everyone who liked Inscryption! (Also Danial has another game coming out this year or next and I am UNREASONABLY hyped and I don’t ever get hyped for any games ever anymore)

Loved BotW but I played it with a 400% durability mod, at 1440p/144fps with graphical mods to make it even more beautiful hahaha

My partner filled their DEX in Sun and Moon, the last game with every single pokemon!

I did not even come close hahaha. I focused on making an incredible IV/EV team instead.

The Forgotten City is one of my favorite games. Like, legitimately. I wish SO BADLY I could play it again without knowing anything about it. I went in absolutely blind and learning about the world, rules, everything, it was INCREDIBLE. Go, anyone reading this, go play it blind right now. It’s not like Skyrim at all, just the engine it’s built on… but damn. I wanna say more but I can’t!
