Today’s game is Metal Gear Solid Delta. I finished the story today and I now want to go straight into another play through followed by playing all the others. As I’m writing this I’m listening to Way To Fall which I think speaks volumes to how much I enjoyed this. I don’t know what Konami’s deal is but when they get a good game developer they really get a good game developer.

Namely there was the final boss fight with The Boss. After the high action boss fight with Volgin, this boss fight hit the landing really well. With the tone it was setting I felt like it needed to hit a landing of being somber and sad, which after Volgin would be hard I felt. It was definitely aided by the escort section though. It provided an apt buffer to set the mood.
In a lighter mood though during the boss fight I wedged a Dart in her forehead and that was there for the entire fight. I thought it was funny it stayed there for the entire fight and she just left it.
My overall rank ended up being Crocodile, which I assume is a C grade. I want to try for Fox Hound, so I’m running through on Normal again in New Game+ to get all the Camos and stuff. I’m hoping that way I’ll be able to pull it off. With the requirements Fox Hound has I’m a bit hesitant to attempt it until I feel prepared.
The game also gave me a Camera! It’s a novelty but I fucking love this thing. Honestly I think I like it more than Photo Mode. Having something tangible to point and shoot is really handy for shots. I got this one I really liked of this guy opening his mouth.
On my second play through I got all the way to the start of Snake Eater where you meet Eva, so suffice to say I’m making good progress. I think with Extreme difficulty the challenge will stem from the boss fights mainly so that’s something I’ll have to overcome. I’d like to do that one peacefully too, but if I have too then I think I’ll stick to just a single Peaceful run.
