For free? Losing playerbase?
So far, all planned gameplay updates for SM2 have been free - cosmetics packs are what are available for sale, and that’s all that’s in the season passes.
Which is really funny as Games Workshop typically bleeds users dry on game expansions.
Glad they aren’t here though. I haven’t played SM2 but may pick up on a sale as I’m a whore for anything Ad Mech.
I mean the game is over a year old now. I know there’s a multiplayer mode, but I don’t think most people are getting this game for that.
Unfortunately most of the game mechanics occur in multiplayer. There’s no classes or upgrades available in the campaign.
No better way to tell me not to buy a game than to put large swaths of it behind multiplayer.
I thought so too originally but I ended up enjoy the co-op missions for a while. I’ve moved on since then but it’s been worthwhile for me.
Note that you can play those missions solo, but the game difficulty doesn’t adjust based on number is human players so it’s less efficient.
