The past few months Ive been almost exclusively playing fantasy and survival games, so much so that I need a break from them.
Looking for single player FPS recommendations with controller support from the last decade. A good story is preferred.
Games Ive played:
Warframe (dont ask. The lore is okay-ish. I stayed for friends).
Titanfall 2. (PEAK)
Apex Legends (Briefly. The sweatiness and timed lore turned me off).
Doom 2016 (Dropped this, sadly. Gunplay and parkour was AWESOME, but the whole devil worship thing really turned me off).
Dying Light 1. (Okay Story. Awesome fighting. Never played 2 because of the whole controversy with the story director. EDIT: Story writer, not director)
The Metro Series. 1, 2 and Exodus. (Slightly weak lore. Still alot of fun).
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
Cyberpunk 2077. It’s a futuristic FPS that feels very similar to GTA. I personally like the integration between uploading viruses to enemies while you shoot at them. And the stories are often quite good.

A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it’s price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don’t meet the system requirements, or just haven’t had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

You can get it on sale for half price. And the Phantom Liberty DLC is worth getting bundled with it.
There are entire AAA games with less content than Phantom Liberty
Maaaaan I’ve had that installed for a long time and have never played it. I should start that this weekend.
