If Pam won’t be coming to the bus for any reason, she now leaves a sign informing you and you can drive yourself to the desert.

Praise be

Call up Toriyama-san

Hate to break it to you, but he passed away a few days before you made this comment.

Oh no! Pretty soon the union will be demanding all kinds of crazy things like “stop stealing breast milk from the female employees” and “don’t drive employees to suicide.” When will it end?!

Every company you mentioned in your comment is a shitty company that could do with an L.

But for fuck sake replace the reptite village they added in the DS version with something enjoyable. One of the most tedious sequences I’ve ever suffered through.

“Fuck you, here’s a switch port for a Wii U game. It’s $15 more expensive than the original release because fuck you that’s why.”

-Nintendo

Step 1: make some genuinely top shelf, genre-defining games in the 90s and early 2000s

Step 2: Sell out

Step 3: Become shittier than anyone could ever imagine

Step 4: Charge 1 kidney for a shitty in app purchase

I’m guessing those 5 games include at least a few spinoffs in different genres. Although we saw how well that worked out for Umbrella Corps.

as long as Microsoft is steering the ship.

… It’s been over 16 years since Microsoft was steering that ship.

“Don’t you think of us when you read the letter ‘R’?” No, I think of a Rhinoceros.

Since the Portal name and assets are in use, Nintendo could go after Valve as well for seemingly “supporting” unauthorized use of their proprietary tools.

Hunt Down The Freeman was released with Valve’s full support.

Jesse what the fuck are you talking about

Is Florisboard still being developed? Hasn’t been updated in 18 months according to F-Droid. Some buttons generate a TODO pop-up when pressed and the predictive text still uses placeholder values.

Indie devs:

So many people are still playing it, and many new people every day, I want it to be the best it can be

It will never be perfect, but I feel an urge to keep improving it. Up to this point, it’s been my life’s work, and I care a lot about it.

AAA companies:

So many people are still playing it because exploiting poor impulse control and FOMO are at the core of our game design philosophy. We want it to be the most profitable it can be

It will never be enjoyable, but we will make sure people feel the urge to keep logging in to grind their dailies so their purchase of a battle pass can be justified. Ever since we started allowing pre-orders it was already profitable, and we stopped caring about quality.

Because people will pre-order games to the point that it’s made a healthy profit even before it’s even released. Consumers vote with their wallet and for some reason gamers just constantly choose to show publishers that shoddy, half-assed products are good enough for them.

I don’t see how the gaming industry even survives when it keeps reinforcing the idea that we shouldn’t buy games at launch.

Because there are more than enough people paying full price for the game before it even comes out. It’s not like people who pay $20 a year or two later are the majority of sales.

can I tell you something? Waking up with you every day is like a dream come true

Well they’re certainly not a video game streaming hobbyist.

We Love Katamari is probably the best in the series IMO. Beautiful Katamari was later released for the 360, but felt much shorter and really didn’t add much. A lot of the content in that one was locked behind DLC, too.
