My account has been locked up because my daughter has three separate BG3 games going with friends. Last week my son said we need to put a time limit on her because nobody else can play on Steam.

I bought the game and I still considered emulating it just to run it at higher res.

Can’t help but feel like this is the market that exists for anything Pokémon adjacent because Pokémon has sucked ass for like a decade.

Spectacular crash and burn at United. Imagine the guy goes back to Dortmund and sets the world on fire. Dortmund doesn’t have a buy option in the contract. What the hell do you do with him if you’re United and Sancho fuckin kills it at Dortmund?

I’ve meant to do that a hundred times and pulled it off exactly zero times.

So he crashed out of MLS bad and now Birmingham has been nothing short of a disaster. What the hell does he do next? An assistant gig in a lower league is about all that’s left.

Is it Ataturk specifically that’s a problem in Saudi Arabia? Was the problem a government figure on the shirts, or that it was Ataturk?

the only thing worse than choking that bad is the whole world watchin you do it

Thanks for posting that he was ok. I hadn’t seen that.

Imagine your entire life is this game and then your heart decides it’s gonna blow out. What the fuck man

Bournemouth v Luton game halted after Lockyer collapses
Hope he’s alright. Probably time to start that post playing coaching career.

I think most people agree we need to significantly lower VAR usage, but I don’t think it should be gotten rid of completely. American Baseball allows for 1 challenge per team, per game. If the challenge is successful, then they get their challenge back and can challenge again. If not, that’s it for them.

I think something like that is probably the way to go.

I watched it in an airport bar in Costa Rica. It was great. There were a couple of United fans and a whole bunch of United haters. Whole lot of languages being spoken but laughing at the state of the game was universal.

There were some damn good CL matches this week.
United vs. Gala was a hilarious disaster of a game punctuated with some great moments. I left Sevilla PSV when it was 2-0 in the 60th. Apparently that was one of the worst decisions I've made in a good long time. How about Pepi with the killer header to win it? Arsenal stomped Lens. Inter vs. Benfica was amazing. That Athletico goal was some bullshit, but it looked pretty cool. What did I miss?

Finally, they’ve done one of the most egregious cheats in the prem. Liverpool, City, United, and Chelsea can sleep well again.

It’s an orange card for sure. Definitely a heavy yellow, tough to call it a red.

Made the game way better for me as a neutral tho

The question we have to answer is always going to be a question of what’s more important: getting it right or the flow of the game? Do you prefer the game moving quickly, even if the calls are wrong? That game was an outlier for a great many reasons, but it was a game that was going to happen. Sooner or later we were gonna have a game so wildly over-refereed that it was going to completely consume the game itself.

I personally prefer the old standard as well. I don’t think surgical precision was ever imagined in the original implementation of the offsides rule, and I think “benefit of the doubt to the striker” is the best way to play the game and the best way for fans.

I understand how we got here, I understand peoples’ frustration, and I think that stuff like this is what causes changes.

Portia was huge in my house, but my daughter was so hooked it’s going to end up being one of her favs of all time. We preordered and then waited forever for Sandrock, and then she didn’t like it. She disliked it so much it put me off it. I’ll have to give it a shot.

Multiplayer feels good?

hell of a save in the 75th min there.

and man, beautifully weighted pass down the line to set up the winning goal’s assist. that great ball completely cracks open the Bayern defense.

They just implemented search and you have to opt in. There’s a value system in place that may change over time (many things do!), but that ain’t happening any time soon. It took a huge push to even allow search.

That’s right, there is no single vision. That’s why there’s so many different front ends. I currently pay $5/month to 4 different ones cause I like where they’re going. Which do you support?

So obviously we’re talking about it and you want one and there isn’t one. Why do you think that is? Do you think that maybe projects and protocols “speak” direction by the implementation? Do you think that the fact there’s a bunch of front ends and apps for Lemmy and Mastodon and all the rest and NONE of them have this feature might be a clue that the fediverse is trying to tell you something?

No, I mean, I guess “the fediverse” didn’t come right out and say it to me, but I guess I can read between the lines.

But I’m super excited to see your investment in what you want! Post back here with what you come up with.

An algo requires analyzing user data, which is exactly what the fediverse doesn’t want. There are front ends that surface popular Mastodon posts, but that’s about it and that’s how they like it.

I have a Pixel 7 and mine does the same flash bang thing on fingerprint. I just figured it was to “see” the fingerprint better. I only notice it when it’s really dark.

Hilarious way to describe it. I knew right away what you were talking about.

That’s a pretty rough list. You sorta hope, as if it makes it better somehow, that it was some back bencher who was destined for 5 mins in a cup tie.

nope its dembele and hakimi

On the imaginary alignment chart of oil teams, Newcastle is easy to root for over fuckin City. And yea, I like that Howe is the coach. He doesn’t feel like an oil team coach, but he’s getting it done.

I’m at the point where I’ll take anyone beating the oil teams at any time, even other oil teams.

That’s a whole lot of center backs watching strikers head the ball. Everyone has a bad day, but it looked like the whole back line had a bad day. When I’m coaching and I see that, it usually means I screwed up.

Where do Spurs finish in the table?
I have no idea. Curious where you guys are.
