As an edgy teen back then, I didn’t fully appreciate the brilliance of MGS2. It’s the one I look back at nowadays if I think about Kojima mindfuckery

MGS2 will blow your mind. This scene from MGS2 has been living rent-free in my mind since I first saw it as a teen when MGS2 came out.

Remember, this game came out around 2000. The internet was just starting to become relevant back then.

The only problem with starting Baldur’s Gate 3 now is that it’s gonna be a crazy high bar for everything that comes after.

But if you want a great story that’s affected by your decisions and character, it’s a great place to go.

“Pfft translation is easy. I can just pop it into google translate and something comes out. Can’t be that much harder by hand”

The funniest part is that the first VTuber pretended to be an AI.

The Yakuza series beyond Zero is also bloody amazing.

One moment you’re laughing your ass off and the next thing you know you’re in emotional anguish. If you’re okay with Japanese weirdness (oh trust me it gets really weird), this series is a great rabbit hole to get into

I’m pretty sure if you just search the term “cyberpunk” you’d find at least five stories that start like this.

As someone into VR, I’m just hoping it can be adapted to be used for other games. Haptic feedback on the body is not a new concept, just an extremely niche one. If it turns out to be an affordable entry point with a lot of asterisks like the Quest, I’m all for it.

And then the fridge horror kicks in.

Someone irresponsible out there is gonna use this to build a bridge or something equally dangerous.

Yeah, my old phone works very well as a ghetto stream deck, and I’m 100% underutilising its capabilities.

I’m interested as hell, but I live in a country where all the cool new stuff never shows up (Malaysia) until it’s too late.

I’ll be back in a few years

I’ve been playing, uh, GOG editions ever since it came out, and it’s gotten to the point where I feel like I should give them my money.

They seriously turned the train wreck around. It’s still not as mindblowing as they promised, but to call it a bad game would be disingenuous.

Been playing a lot of mahjong in the past four years. Mahjong Soul is totally free if you ignore the gacha element. And if you really hate the anime aesthetic, there’s Tenhou.

I feel a lot more motivated to sneak in a game or two every now and then because I know if Mahjong Soul ever goes down, my skills are fully transferable to other mahjong clients, and also offline.

GG to all my waifu jpegs if that happens though.

Yeah, I was like “what new logo?”. I remember when the 2D logo was new and the 3D one was old.

The nature of the game makes it amazing for a quick session before bed or during lunch.

I’m gonna go against the grain here and say: if you have lots of stuff to do, stay away from crackdew valley
