I remember playing this on a Radeon 9550 GPU with 128 MB VRAM and being amazed at how well it was running at 1680x1050.

That’s kinda ironic given how they’re moving towards very similar looking main icons for their apps.

Jazz JackRabbit on MS-DOS on my dad’s computer.

Can I counteract that with “then maybe you should release finished products at the initial public release date”?

He’s probably right, but from what I see, the reality is that like 95% of people simply don’t care, and the rest will find an alternative.

Wow. 5k is more than I’ve spent in total for all phones I’ve owned and the software too. I’m in my early 30s.

Maybe. I’ve been on both sides. I definitely think that at-launch prices for games like this are often outrageous, but usually some time after launch there are deals with very reasonable prices; lately I try to aim for the latter - both for the better price and for the better software quality (after all the patches and so on).

Maybe related to these changes, maybe due to something else, I don’t know, but a Ubisoft game I have installed through Steam (Far Cry New Dawn) stopped launching for me. I tried verifying game files through Steam (more than once), but that by itself didn’t help. What worked however was uninstalling Ubisoft Connect, then verifying game files again through Steam (which sadly installs Ubisoft Connect again), then launching the game (which initiated a Ubisoft Connect update for me). Hope that helps someone.

For a very long time I only used browser stored passwords; at one point I wanted to use Vivaldi on my smartphone, but at the beginning it didn’t have password sync, so I had to figure out something. I think this is when I first tried LastPass, but got discouraged from using it by 1) their security incidents and 2) them removing mobile device sync from their free tier. This is when I switched over to BitWarden, which I’ve been using ever since; I’m currently even considering hosting my own instance of it.

Thanks for turning attention to those. I got curious and looked at the ones for Boost for reddit and they seem about the same. A bit funny to see that the settings for the app only show Notifications as a granted permission (and no other possible ones). Can anyone familiar with Android app development chime in with some details?
