Do you still play apex these days ?

What do you think about the state of the game

I just resumed playing Yakuza 7 after a few months of not playing anything. It’s a cool game but requires some levelling grinding apparently.

In previous Yakuza games I would just proceed to boss fights as a underlevelled character sometimes, but in Yakuza 7 it doesn’t cut it.

I played Hades on gamepass and I immediately knew that I had to buy it on steam.

Btw did you manage to get to the final boss ?

Didn’t know about this one. Maybe i’ll find the man in the chair role enjoyable. Will check it out before I decide to refund the game.

Yup, looks like it’s not my cup of tea. I just bought it to play with my friends. I guess I’ll refund it and get something else.

I have never played Destiny. Just out of curiosity, is it that bad ?

Edit : just read this comment and now I kinda get the idea.

So I tried Lethal company… and didn’t like it. Does it get better eventually ?
First and foremost, This is kind of a rant. I do not like horror games. I have never played any 'strictly horror' ones before. And yes I get scared easily. My friends bought a new game called Lethal company and I didn't know what it was until they showed me some clips of it. For the first time ever, I thought a survival horror game would be fun. So I went ahead and purchased it on steam. While playing the game I did get jumpscared without fail almost all of the time (God I hate that feeling). I also liked the proximity chat audio and the way it fades as the people move further away from each other. After playing for 1.5 hours I found it to be very repetitive and boring but my friends seemed to be enjoying it. Now that I notice, the game has overwhelmingly positive ratings on Steam and many youtubers and streamers have reviewed the game very positively. Which led me to think, if I'm playing it the wrong way or something. So is this one of those games which grows on you as you play ? Or will it be the same gameplay loop ?

Many developers have their FOSS apps as paid apps in the play store, so that people who really want to support the dev can do so from the play store itself.

I use simplelogin all the time. It’s really useful.

You are right, I just checked after reading your comment. I was under the assumption that one needs to add their account from the settings menu.

Thanks mate.

I hope they add multi account support soon.

Voyager web app is quite impressive tbh. One of the best web apps I have ever used.

That being said, the infinity app feels like home, I have been using to for over 3 years after all.

I’m not aware if there are other ways to post.

You do have a point. I wish projects like GrapheneOS and CalyxOS supported non pixel devices as well.

Let’s say a person relocks the bootloader somehow… is it possible to get back those lost features ?

I considered buying the fairphone and the pixel 7. Unfortunately, the former was not available in my country and the latter had no service centers in my region.

Then I got a good deal on a samsung galaxy s23 and bought it. Now I’m stuck with not being able to tinker with anything.

Why do most newer phones other than pixels have little to no support for custom ROMs ?
I know that most customizability features that were once exclusive to custom roms are available for use right out of the box these days. In the case of manufacturers like Samsung, I think, there are still no official builds of lineageOS for the newer phones after the galaxy s10 series. I'm aware that GSI roms are available. My experience with GSI's have been kinda bad. Most of the time they lack a lot of features which makes the phone not viable anymore. Then there are also the random UI bugs, which frustrate the hell out of the user. I miss the old days when there were lots of custom roms, even for budget devices. I used to flash them when my phones were out of warranty. I could use my phone however I saw fit. Is there no way to bring back these good times ? Or will the whole custom ROM community just shrink to the pixels and a select few devices ?
