Ps5 controller is Bluetooth, works for me without any special drivers. Has native support in some games for the haptic triggers and touch pad. It’s a fantastic general purpose unit. The Nintendo switch classic NES controllers are awesome for retro emulation too- also Bluetooth. They make NES/SNES/N64 variants- but really the ps5 will handle all those use cases and feel just fine for any modern gaming.
Haven’t played rebirth yet, but played original many times. IGN did a play through review vid: https://youtu.be/5jvBmusBMzo?si=O3qFNeb__PaF7sHl which makes it look both a lot like and very unique from the original at the same time. I dunno how many hours you put in so far, but it looks like there’s easily 35-100 hours worth of content, which is in line with the original. The video I linked makes it look fun, but I’ll reserve judgement until I get a chance to play it!
That’s dumb as shit, why does Microsoft even allow mature games on their platform if their platform doesn’t allow mature content. Sure, record blood and guts, but dont show a nipple or a penis unless it’s exploding in a shower of gore!!! What a fucking disgusting standard we have that gore and violence are celebrated but anything sexual, even simple nudity is some kind of felony offense.
Video game makers don’t cater to most minority groups because they’re small. If video game makers really cared about gamers rather than than money, then loot boxes, micro transactions, launch day DLC, pay to win, annual fifa and madden releases, and multiplayer only games wouldn’t exist.
This is what makes the small Indy game makers that make games for the fun of it shine, and I bet they care about their players a lot more.
A lot of older games were bigger because of static assets. Riven (myst 2) was fucking huge because it was like 60,000 jpgs. It was on 5 discs. Later games running in a 3D engine just had texture files and small models, they were a lot smaller.
There’s that quake 2 clone that team did a while back that was only 92KB- it generated everything in memory on the fly. Krieger I think it was called?
I ignore epic totally
