I had to look it up cause I was curious, and according to this article, the frame data for a character is tied closely to the framerate and not because better hardware means bigger advantage… unless I missed that mentioned in the article
so, i have a 280hz monitor. my reaction time is awful compared to others I know, but it just feels smoother and more pleasurable to use for games that support a higher refresh rate.
I don’t think framrate is tied to reactions. if that was the case, I think most of the popular fighting games (sf6, tekken 8, mk1) wouldn’t be capped at 60fps.
but it’s the Gamepass price increase is what got the FTC’s attention? Where was the FTC when the movie/TV streaming service market balkanized itself in an arms race to reinvent cable?
maybe we finally have some people in the FTC that are affected by this, finally someone my age in office making moves I approve of! lol
it has completely killed my hype. all these additional features are the reason why I wanted it in the first place. I also do not trust sony to turn these features on down the line. it should be launching feature complete, and I struggle to understand why some features are left out and not others… 😵💫
Also, we’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PS VR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PS VR2 titles available through PS5. We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates.
psvr2 on my pc would be awesome, I’ve read the screen and tech is better than what’s being offered on the index
