Ah I think I see what you’re going with here. Try turning on “deck” mode shown in the same picture above. That’ll place all apps on the home screen and disable the drawer completely. Bypasses the need for automatically adding new apps too

Edit: heads up, there’s a reason it says beta next to it. Definitely quite new for the app

It does have the ability to add new apps to home screen, but this may only be in the nightly for now. It does unfortunately not have a jiggle mode like iOS, but I find that it’s fast enough to hold it for a moment longer to move apps that I don’t feel too much of a desire for it

Give Lawnchair a try. I use the nightly but it’s a bit unstable, you should be fine on v14 beta 3 though

“Organize app icons in bulk” is a bit unclear to me, but I think at the very least this will tick most of them

I run most games just fine with my 3070 8gb. While I would’ve preferred to have more when I bought it, it’s held up just fine.

While the 9060 XT isn’t released yet, everything I’ve seen so far has made the difference pretty clear. I have no problem with offering a lesser sku if the difference is clear. Not like Nvidia and their 1060 3gb and 6gb where they also cut the cores and memory bandwidth. If these differ on release my stance would be different.

Also gaming isn’t the only reason to have a GPU, I still use my 1060 in my server for transcoding and it works just fine. If I needed something to replace it, or if I was building a new one from scratch, 9060 XT 8gb or an arc would be a fine choice.

Sorry but I don’t understand why this is a controversy. They have a 16gb model, if you need more than 8gb then go and buy that? They aren’t forcing your hand or limiting your options.

Flipping through the reviews, looks like they learned nothing from FS2020. Everyone still stuck in download simulator. If you’ve purchased this and gone over the 2 hour mark steam support is usually really quite lenient. I had about 10 hours in menu for FS2020 when I finally called it.

Definitely not as big as it used to be. Lineage, Graphene, and Pixel Experience are just about the only players left. Graphene doesn’t officially support anything other than pixels actively supported by Google though.

Spite mostly. I have small QoL improvements, but mostly because Google says I can’t do what I want with my device.

Specific reasons:

• AdAway - ad blocking, can’t live without
• SnapEnhance - ad blocking & other tweaks to make SC more usable
• Revanced (w/o microgapps) - YouTube mod w/ sponsorblock & returned dislikes
• PixelExpert - misc UI tweaks like separate WiFi & mobile data tiles, as well as a 3 wide qs panel
• SmartSpacer - Custom complications on my at a glance screen. Can do useful things like show me my gas rewards card when in range of a gas stations WiFi, notifications for missed calls, texts, and emails that I might have dismissed from my tray
• MACsposed - let’s me spoof my MAC address. Used it to snag free WiFi on planes
• Swift Backup - backs my phone up to my server every night
• GAppsMod - enable call recording & other features on Google dialer & messages
• DarkTricks - additional misc toggles, some overlap with PixelExpert but occasionally has better implementations (power button flashlight, volume keys to skip tracks, etc)

No longer working:

• Xposed edge pro - let you bind a bunch of gestures to different actions or fly outs from any screen. Hasn’t been functional in Android 14 and it seems like the dev has dipped. I genuinely miss having an app fly out (but not enough to buy a Samsung)

Do they need that experience? Having had both experiences I do agree it’s much easier now. Even if your only experience is recent, if someone says they stopped because of how hard it was it’s valid to say how hard it isn’t any longer

Both times I’ve contacted support they’ve immediately sent another but also have tried to fix the issue (first one was a bubble that showed up under the skin on my grip case, they sent a replacement skin and also asked me to try hitting it with a hair dryer. Second one they sent me a 7 pro case instead of an 8 pro. They sent me a replacement and told me I could keep the other)
