If anything this has raised my bar for TES 6. I didn’t play 4 just as you did and sunk an ungodly amount of time into 5. I also played fallout 3 at the time of launch so I feel like I’m fairly versed in Bethesdas formula.
The progress from 4 to 5 is obvious. They put a lot of love into making Skyrim better than its predecessor in tons of ways. With the absolute flop of Starfield, they’re putting all their chips into TES 6 and they know it. They’re going to stick to the core gameplay that everyone expects, but how they expand and improve upon it is really what will make or break them. If they get the story telling down, it’s all up to the mechanics of the game and design of the world.
My bar has absolutely raised by them putting this remaster out.
They had, hands down, without a shadow of a doubt, the best mech experience of any game so far with TF2.
If we can get that kind of experience, but with the customization of the Armored Core series, and maybe something a little new sprinkled on, you literally would never be able to pry me off of the game.
No shot on Bandai ever getting it together for a solid Gundam game and that makes me really sad.
I loved it as well. Honestly, all of the DLC well fitting except the last one which wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t play with it on every campaign like all of the others.
Plus being able to host and let everyone else without the DLC play with those factions was awesome. I honestly might download it and play a campaign or two.
My man, if you read what I said on this thread, you’d understand that I’ve recently moved from mainly gaming on a traditional desktop setup to gaming on a couch. I was only voicing my new feelings I’ve developed about gaming on my desk instead of couch. For a long time I didn’t mind it but the past year or so I’ve had a different opinion. I was talking about making a little setup for using keyboard and mouse on my couch on a different comment. Sorry if I didn’t clarify this well enough.
I still have my desk setup for when I want to use it, but I’ve ran a HDMI cable under couches and rugs to my TV to use as well. Variety is the spice of life I guess lol. I don’t HATE playing certain things on my desktop setup, but I would much rather my couch setup if possible.
My next thing is to figure out how to use a keyboard/mouse while on the couch. Thought of making a little wooden contraption to sit over my lap with one of those bigger mouse pads glued onto it.
Is it weird that I’m about to go full circle? Started on consoles. Switched to PC around 2010, and now I’m kind of leaning towards consoles again. Maybe it’s my setup for my rig, I can not stand headphones, a smallish monitor, or a computer chair to game in anymore. I’ve setup myself to be able to play games on my couch with my pc, but the fact that I never own a physical copy of a game bothers me so much - as I’ve gotten older I cherish the physical copies of games that I have and it’s nice to go back and boot up my old console and play it no problem whenever I want. Can’t really say that about PC barring GOG’s attempt to preserve games. Because as it stands now, at some point a game played on PC will be rendered unplayable unless you really go through some hoops to get it running right. A small example would be Fallout 3 needs a mod to properly use RAM because it was only designed for a small amount (if I remember correctly).
Wait… his name is actually Purkeypile? I remember playing through fallout 4 once and I looked through the list of names Codsworth recognized… and Purkeypile was one of them. I named my character that and made him the most dapper man in the wasteland “Missta Purkeypile…”
I wonder if they put that in there because of him.
I tried playing it last night, and I really reaaaaally wanted to play through it. It’s really fun and original, but boy, does it stir up some primal fear in me when the fog rolled in. Also, it doesn’t help that murky water and things in said water just absolutely fuck me up. So, needless to say, I can’t play it unless I have people around me because my anxiety goes from 0 when I’m fishing and 100 when it gets spooky.
Yea this feels like a send off from one generation of gamers to the next. When I see the online mode for 5 constantly receiving updates STILL, it made me wonder about 6 and my suspicious are almost confirmed. I’m not mad that a great game receives support for its whole life cycle but oh boy did they milk that cow to death.
I for one always payed hackers like 5-10$ to dump billions on me and never had an issue with getting banned luckily. I refused to give Rockstar any more money with how they monetize the updates. I’m a sucker for a good DLC though. I have every one for the Total War: Warhammer series ಠ_ಠ
It’s ya boy M.C. Democracy bringing it to ya live.
