Block EA on your steam page and avoid all this bullshit.

I don’t think I’ll ever buy a game from a AAA publisher again, they can’t be trusted and the quality of their goods has fallen sharply the last few years.

Smaller dev teams have better/more interesting IP AND seem to care what I think as their end user.

How do I posthumously prove anything?

Do I need a dead-man switch? Do they sell those?

If I buy a game that requires a launcher I immediately return it and give a very long and detailed description as to why that’s not a product I can buy as I do not own it.

The different direction;

No more original IP, and 99% of profits come from litigating against end users.

(It’s the same direction as before, just not including AI yet)

Unity has unified all its previous clientele.

You can block tainted production companies on steam, this removes all their slop from the store page and vastly improves the marketplace.

Ubisoft was the first shit-hole prod company I ever blocked and it was glorious.

This looks awesome!

Does it track steps from a smartwatch? I usually don’t carry my mobile when I’m out hiking and wouldn’t want to lose out on any progress in-game.

You can manage the file destinations and launch .exe’s without loading the Steam client.

Are you sure you know enough about this to be loudly proclaiming your hot take without looking like a jackass?

What do I run Steam on 🤔🤔🤔🤔. Can’t remember on such short notice. Any ideas?

Oh no, they listened to their demographic and gave people what they wanted so they didn’t go elsewhere?! How fucking terrible.

Not to mention the infinite supply of awesome indie games I have access to at the click of my mouse…

Had a PSU ship about 6 weeks after their posted expected delivery date a few years ago. Since then I won’t ever buy from them again.

Did somebody try to game the free market and can’t handle the backlash for their greedy motives?

Wah wahhh wahhhhh, cry harder. I’m gonna go buy this game just to leave a negative review for the production company’s greed, then I’ll return it.

Oh boy, did Sony release a new banger that’s the same game repackaged for the thousandth time?!

I am so excited, I definitely don’t have Sony blocked on steam along with all their in-house production companies. Nuh-uh, I would never block all these awesome companies for altering deals weeks post-sale.

No siree, I would never navigate to their steam pages and gleefully click the block producer button ever. Not even once, as a joke.

Use the block function in steam to block all these nasty vidjya production companies.

Sony fucked with helldiver’s 2 a month after launch, I couldn’t get a refund and also couldn’t use the social functions of their game. Wasted $40 on that POS.

Arrowhead-blocked

Sony-blocked

I no longer see their shitty software in my store. You shouldn’t have to, either.

Thank God, this changes everything

Edit; I attached a link to the best selling Bluetooth controller in the description.

It has to be in close collaboration with miyamoto so he doesn’t mistake their licensed venture as pirated media and call in nukes to stop it from happening.

Don’t break an arm jerking yourself off. Russia’s MO is to block “illegal” comms. You know, dissenters, political opponents and what have you.

Go figure the authoritarian dipshit needs to spend taxes on R&D to oppress those poor Russians.

Good try making this a “win”.

MS loves to weigh their software down with bloat, I agree they need this feature but I don’t think they’ll take the financial loss to make it a thing.

Fuck yea! I’ve blocked Ubisoft, EA and a handful of other shoddy producers/their ilk. It’s not worth even seeing their offerings these days.

Big ‘Comcast 10g’ vibes here.

Ubisoft is consistent with being on my blocked producers list on steam.

I was just making a loose estimate, there’s a lot I haven’t figured in but I’ll bet you with the sales in the next month they’ll surpass my numbers.

I have no idea what the over-under is between the creators and MS. my estimate isn’t exact, it’s close but relies on increased sales moving forward.

I also haven’t figured in production costs or debts.

I didn’t even think to figure that in, was just doing some rough math figuring the numbers in are sure to change over the next week (methinks an upward trend for another couple weeks at least).

What even was Pokemon? This game stomps that entire franchise imo (been playing since red&blue).

Well 19m players x $29 is $551,000,000 banked so far.

They could pocket a few dozen million and still run the servers for around 85 years.

I’m not blaming “enshittification”. This IS enshittification.

I blame shareholders and greedy C level executives. You know, the ones who make these types of decisions to milk customers for the bottom line.

Just move on if you want to debate, these are facts and I don’t have time to defend reality from your contrarian garbage.

I think you’re a passive aggressive blowhard. I don’t think you’re being antagonistic although I could picture you wanting to be if that makes sense.

“volatility of access” implies a lack of intent.

This isn’t a side effect of streaming technology, they could let me download content on my NAS and burn my own discs but they don’t because their goal is profiteering and NOT serving the best content in an open technological environments.

“Corporate enshittification and commodity fraud” is a more apt term.

antagonistic

You’re replying to everyone in this thread with half-assed insults and underhanded comments and then playing victim and complaining about how “nobody wants to discuss this in good faith”.
