I stopped playing when they decided to require an Epic account to log in years AFTER I bought the game on Steam. It shouldn’t be allowed to alter the terms and conditions in that way afterwards. I bought the game on steam to play it on Steam and wouldn’t have otherwise if a third party account would’ve been necessary.
Colour me flabbergasted f this gets out and doesn’t totally suck ass in regards to study and atmosphere. It’s so sad how this series ended up in development hell.
This game was so crazy good. The only thing I would’ve like would be more meaningful tier one and two units. Our in-houses more or less skipped those and went straight for tier three. Dunno what the competitive meta looks/looked like though.
I love the games vibe. The only thing that fell flat for me was the difficulty curve. After the first third I kinda figured out a loop and “won” the game’s economy which distracted from the depressing scarcity of the first hours.
Still very worthwhile for the small stories the game tells around every corner. The short playtime makes also sure that it doesn’t overstay its welcome.
No, you don’t have only option. Did you think Homer’s Iliad is such a great story because everybody behaved rationally? Just have some appreciation for drama and don’t go “Meep-morp, this is the morally correct choice.”.

Heavy disagree. I think the ending where they sacrifice the whole town for their own little happiness has a lot of poetry to it as well. Real humans don’t make optimal decisions all the time.
