I’ve looked at it a few times, but I’ve never got around to setting it up. I think my first try would be with Nextcloud, then moving to a dedicated server if that proves too slow or unreliable. Has it been much maintenance for you, or mostly fire-and-forget?
How is the battery drain for you? I’m under the impression that it destroys mine, even though I set it to only run when charging, so I often end up killing it.
I was skeptical at first, but it’s great! It properly parses repos, it shows you a preview of where you’re about to download from, and if there are multiple assets in a release it lets you pick the right one. And then it does auto-updates just like an F-Droid client!
They have good hardware, but their software is—or, at least, feels—unreliable. With so many digital interactions virtually expecting to be done from a mobile device these days, the last thing I want is for the phone to glitch and give up on me when I need it. Yes, customization is nice, but these days I value reliability much more than that, even more than performance in some respects. Unfortunately, that mostly leaves Samsung and Apple as options for “reliable” software…
We’ve come full-circle: we went from the volumetric, 3D designs with shadows of the 2000s to everything flat, and now we’re gaining depth and shadows again!
Next month it will be two years since I started playing co-op with a friend. We’ve played for about 200 h now and we still have around 20% of the game to get through. It’s been the best co-op experience to date for us both!
I’ve played the remastered campaign recently. I remember playing it through several times when it came out, and the remastered game today was just as enjoyable as the original back then. It always has been, and still is, my favourite CoD.
I liked the Saturday APPreciation threads on /r/Android and found them really useful for discovering new apps. How about we get something similar rolling here?
I use private browsing a lot for the automatic site data clearing. Several browsers restrict taking screenshots in private windows, which is only an inconvenience to me. I hope more browsers will allow the user to decide if screenshots are allowed on their own device.
