Anyone that expected the current British government to do anything a government is meant to do… Well… Let me introduce you to the past 14 years of disappointment.

The trouble is the upfront capital though, but at the same time another publisher would surely bite at the thought of getting a talented studio’s staff in one go?

I mean, yeah… There’s no such thing as being an ethical billionaire.

If reviews don’t flip back to positive in response (seeing as they only went negative in anticipation of this policy being enforced), then we have no way of indicating our dissatisfaction next time Sony do something undesirable.

Don’t Starve Together - not a shooter though.

CoOp / PvE + Shooter + 5 players is a bit of a challenge to be honest…

Is one category less important than the others? Might help with suggestions.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever entered mine either. I ought to go check…

In the situation that payment details are leaked - I presume one must cancel the associated card?

Isn’t DRG:Survivors by a different developer - not Ghost Ship Games?

Huh? There’s no DRG sequels. There’s been different seasonal updates - if that’s what you mean?

It feels really solid and smooth - and Klei has an outstanding track record of long term support for their games.

Apparently Next Fest goes live in about 6 hours from the time of posting, so I presume it should be playable from then on.

https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2015270/view/4052745265551687801?l=english I love this game - I’ve played every single playtest and I can’t wait for the full release.

Your method makes more sense to me.

The need to gatekeep a genre which - by now - I reckon has far more entries that don’t match the definition of a traditional/classic rogue-like game just seems unnecessary.

Giving a qualifier to ‘roguelike’ to delineate the classic versus more flexible/modern style makes more sense.

The conversation around the two really wears me out.

Sorry! I came across a game and realised that there were two distinct terms that I had heard/seen over the years, and so I wondered what the difference was. Never come across discourse over it before, so that’s why I posted.

My takeaway is that it's only original Rogue fans that care about the delineation of the terms. Is there a modern (i.e. post 2000s game) that matches the definition of a roguelike as given in the article?

TIL. But I’d like to know what exactly the damage was?

Now I’m wondering if all the problems I had with DS4s is related to Sony doing shady shit.

I still have a DS4 which will sometimes work via Bluetooth and sometimes not.

No, it’s not! Seems like the link is bugged so it sends you to an older post concluding a previous playtest. This one is still active.

I’ll try and fix the link.

Ahh, okay - I misunderstood. I thought it was doing permadeath for the story / campaign, which - fine in terms of difficulty - I didn’t understand how it would be ‘roguelike’.

This makes more sense.

I am just a little bit excited. I love this game.

I’ve not played TLOU2 but in what way does it lend itself to rogue like mechanics? The appeal of a roguelike is that you get random conditions each run, isn’t it?

But they can already side load their store on Android - they have done so since Fortnite first released for Android in 2017/18.

Regarding Vanguard - how will it tie in to EVE? Will Vanguard players be able to sell stuff to EVE players for currency?

You, sir, need to play Chivalry 2.

Dunno if it’s still on there (and if it is, it won’t be for long) - but it was in the Humble Bundle for £8.99 or however many $.

I mean, reddit retroactively stole money from redditors. Any gold/coins you paid for? Gone. Why? Because.

The solution is to not be a Nintendo fan.

No, seriously. You support their draconic practices by buying their games.

Using Sync. Not seen a single ad so far.

I’ll probably pay for it at some point when I have the spare cash, to support a dedicated developer.

Sync is also being actively developed. It’s getting updated far faster and is far more feature rich than most Lemmy apps I’ve tried so far.

Think the Sync dev said he spent 60 hour weeks working about 6 weeks to get Sync for Lemmy up.
