As a very new PC gamer, supplementing my long time Xbox gaming, the biggest advantage of consoles is that games always work OOTB (or OOTDownload).
Sometimes with PC gaming, a game just doesn’t run for whatever reason, or you get crashes, or any other weird issues. Most people don’t want to have to tinker in settings just to get consistent framerates.
Including myself, because I don’t have a lot of time to play and I don’t want to waste that time troubleshooting.
I liked Wonderlands, even though it felt a bit short and wasn’t really as funny or gritty as the first two.
Since BL 3, it’s felt like the games devolved into a very childish humor, not in a clever way, but just an unfunny way.
Like, I know the first two games weren’t the peak of intelligent humor, but at least it felt they were intentional about how they utilized less mature jokes.
And the gameplay and stories haven’t been as good since BL2. Handsome Jack really stole the game in the best way.
I was going to buy it.
But now I’m not. I don’t have a PSN account and I don’t care to make one just for this game.
The games industry is real crap now. There’s so much resistance to just being able to download a game and play. It’s always about downloading proprietary launchers, signing up for new accounts, wading through micro transactions, unfinished games, bad stories, and bug-ridden experiences.
It’s exhausting.
Don’t feel lame. I’m not buying it now. Requirements like these are taking over gaming and it’s asinine.
I’m not creating a new account for every new game I want to play. Ubisoft, Rockstar, EA, Sony, Microsoft… It’s absolutely maddening.
Half the reason companies do this is to spam your email address, track you, and sell your data.
They really need to give it more powerful processors. It felt like a shame that Tears of the Kingdom ran so poorly that it was uncomfortable to play.
Nintendo’s games deserve better hardware.
On a related note, why don’t they put a GPU in the dock so that the games can run much better when connected to a TV?
It’s really not a wasted search, but I agree this is not the community for the post.
Project 2025 is the Republican’s plan to essentially dismantle government agencies, consolidate power to the president, and make the LGBT+ community illegal. Among many other fucked up things.
The introduction of the document is absolutely essential to read. It’s truly scary stuff.
Lol, how could I have forgotten that character.
I never got that impression that the two aspects were inseparable. And he is a very exaggerated representation of a gay man, so maybe it’s that exaggeration that hints at it making fun of those who think gay people are all flamboyant rapists.
Though, I admit it sounds like a stretch.
I was so frustrated with BL3 given that BL2 was basically a masterpiece.
I hope they go back to BL1/2 territory by simplifying and paring down some of the bloat.
Handsome Jack worked so well because he didn’t feel forced. And Pandora worked in 2 because it was merely an expansion of what existed in 1 without trying to go way too big like BL3.
KISS works well for many things, but especially the Borderlands franchise.
I feel like aside from full-on accessibility settings for those who need them (which absolutely should be implemented and the FromSoft devs don’t get a pass on this), they could do something as simple as a 2% speed, health, & damage nerf to all their enemies and it could be enough for most newcomers that have paid for the game, but didn’t get anything out of it. Like me. There are probably a huge amount of people that bought the game because of glowing “this is GOTY” reviews and couldn’t get past even Margit.
