Dude I loved Nioh and I love the story of Yasuke, so when I encountered him in the game I was psyched. It’s like, as a white American, if I’m writing a story about cowboys, and I find out that there was a Japanese guy that was a famous cowboy right at the time my story is set, and also clearly not talked about enough… hell yeah I’m putting that guy in there! Why should I be upset that he doesn’t look like me when that makes it so much more fascinating? That’s fucking awesome! People breaking the mold and shattering our expectations is cool, and always has been. If I’m a writer with a big fanbase and I have the opportunity to shine a light on something clearly awesome that most people don’t know about then hell yeah I want to make people know about it. These fucking people… not only are they racist and they’ve also lost their sense of wonder, their imagination, their sense of joy for a strange and unexpected world that we live in. What a miserable fucking way to live.

I’ve never had the cloud II tbh, but that’s the only ones I’ve ever seen that had consistent reviews… up until they sold to HP and now they’re shit. I’m just wanting something within the same price range and level of quality as the original version that’s been so raved about

Most Comparable Headset To Kingston HyperX Cloud II’s in 2025?
Hi all. My headset recently broke and I was wondering what the best headset with a mic yall would recommend for under $100? Preferably less than $70 if possible. I don’t have a ton of money to spend right now so I’m just looking for something basic to chat with my friends on discord or while playing games on Ps5, Pc, and Steam Deck. I had ordered a used pair of (Kingston Model) HyperX Cloud II’s, but they sent me the wrong model (which I’m returning) and I’ve heard nothing but bad things about the HP model. So what would you say is the most similar to that quality in 2025? Also I don’t post much on Lemmy (or Reddit previously) so I’m sorry if this is in the wrong place—so if there is a better place to post this please let me know

Why the fuck would you think it’s not? There’s a lot of goddamn villains in the world, an entire ecosystem of cruelty where people abuse those who they think are below them because of unchecked wealth and power, and people get personally fucked by individuals of that ecosystem every day. Just because there are bigger fish doesn’t mean small fish are exempt. Don’t presume that a frustration with a lesser evil means a blind eye to the greater ones

I’m not talking about video games I’m talking ruining someone’s life and stealing their intellectual property, the fucking performative humiliation he put those guys through. You think a rich CEO who would fuck people over that hard is really redeemable?

Edit: But no, you’re right that he shouldn’t be murdered, he doesn’t necessarily have blood on his hands like a healthcare CEO. He should simply be torn from his home and have all of his property and assets liquidated and distributed as compensation

Clearly they haven’t played Persona 5/Royal, and seen how much you can innovate with turn based battles and make them really fun

Yeah honestly this would be really at home in a Spider-Man game imho

Highjacking to ask what the best set is with a good mic under $100

Metroid and Castlevania are two of my favorite series, and I adore the genre. That being said… I just can’t seem to get into Hollow Knight no matter how much I want to. Maybe I’m not putting enough time into it but I just keep getting bored quickly every time I pick it up. I think it’s partly the environment, every room looks very same-y so far. I want to like it but I’m clearly missing something

Ugh. What is it with people acting like nazi’s when it comes to their interests? Like why can’t you enjoy something and be aware of its flaws? You criticize something even a little bit and people will call for your head and all this other psychotic toxicity. That’s shits been around since the original fandom of Star Trek TOS but you see it in every fandom out there. Why can’t people just be fucking normal and enjoy things in a healthy and positive way. Don’t get me wrong I think there’s more healthy engagements out there than toxic ones but there’s just so much of that in every fandom that it’s fucking crazy

Lmao what happened? I only ever had good experiences on those subs but then again I haven’t used Reddit in a few years

I think you’d be surprised, Hitler The Dolphin was one of the best selling games of the era

Going back a ways here with Castlevania: Symphony of The Night. It seems like a fairly fleshed out game as it is when you get to the “final” boss but then you read a guide and find out “ending A” is only half of the game

There’s like three different points in the game that look like the end before revealing more. It’s a chunky game. If it was paced slightly better and the dialogue trimmed (by a lot) it would be perfect. But it’s close enough

I always imagined a Ciri game as a more action-oriented and somewhat more over-the-top spin-off based on how she played in Witcher 3. But honestly I’ll be content as long as it’s a good game

I normally agree with you but Naughty Dog has a good enough track record that I’m not worried. But yes in principle I do absolutely hate the trend

I think it would be interesting if they did a home version of the Steam Deck basically. Do a valve branded stripped down gaming PC on/around the same level as ps5 and series X using this OS to give a “console feel” to PC gaming while keeping the PC modularity and ecosystem for people who are interested in PC but don’t know what specs to look for and where to start, or those that want to get back into it after a long time as well as those interested in Linux. It would have the added benefit of not requiring kbm, windows purchase, and mostly free online play. Maybe that wouldn’t work but it’s just a thought

Honestly it was a hassle that took quite a while to get everything working correctly, but for me personally it was worth it. There’s several guides for it but almost all of them are a bit outdated in 2024, but there’s a good community who are really helpful: https://discord.gg/zelda-botw-modding-hub-316759222207643649

For the steamdeck you’ll average about 40fps with the right settings, which isn’t a lot but it’s better than on switch or Wii U

Well you can’t buy it digitally at all anymore and if you do find the disc it’s usually priced as a “retro collectible” so the only reasonable way to get it is via the high seas—which, technically, is “really cheap”

I love Breath of The Wild, but I’m playing my third run of it on my steam deck with a significant amount of mods because those devs have a serious aversion to simple and basic qol

I mean it’s kind of par for the course. Movies have been considered an art form for a long time but they’re first and foremost treated as a business by those in control of the money

Is the artist behind this a Stardew modder? The animals look a lot like Elle’s animals

I still love their games and franchises, but damn I hate them as a company

Out of all the games in the Miyazaki series I feel like Sekiro doesn’t get enough love. It’s hard to say whether I love the gameplay or the world/lore more because I’d never seen a what is essentially a cosmic horror take on Buddhism before and that just scratched an itch that I never knew I had

I mean you can almost say that about fallout though too can’t you? There both an adaptation of the world and lore than any specific story

Yeah Fallout is more of a setting than anything, and that’s why it’s perfect for an adaptation like this. It benefited great from the fact that they didn’t really have to adapt any characters or any single storyline, but simply created a new story and characters in that world and it still be a faithful adaptation

Thanks you for this very well put together response! I definitely have an idea of what to look for now

Can anyone give me a suggestion for what cards I should be looking at to get a little over ps5 graphics without breaking the bank? It’s been a while since I worked on my last pc and I’m really lost these days
