Going back a ways here with Castlevania: Symphony of The Night. It seems like a fairly fleshed out game as it is when you get to the “final” boss but then you read a guide and find out “ending A” is only half of the game

There’s like three different points in the game that look like the end before revealing more. It’s a chunky game. If it was paced slightly better and the dialogue trimmed (by a lot) it would be perfect. But it’s close enough

I always imagined a Ciri game as a more action-oriented and somewhat more over-the-top spin-off based on how she played in Witcher 3. But honestly I’ll be content as long as it’s a good game

I normally agree with you but Naughty Dog has a good enough track record that I’m not worried. But yes in principle I do absolutely hate the trend

I think it would be interesting if they did a home version of the Steam Deck basically. Do a valve branded stripped down gaming PC on/around the same level as ps5 and series X using this OS to give a “console feel” to PC gaming while keeping the PC modularity and ecosystem for people who are interested in PC but don’t know what specs to look for and where to start, or those that want to get back into it after a long time as well as those interested in Linux. It would have the added benefit of not requiring kbm, windows purchase, and mostly free online play. Maybe that wouldn’t work but it’s just a thought

Honestly it was a hassle that took quite a while to get everything working correctly, but for me personally it was worth it. There’s several guides for it but almost all of them are a bit outdated in 2024, but there’s a good community who are really helpful: https://discord.gg/zelda-botw-modding-hub-316759222207643649

For the steamdeck you’ll average about 40fps with the right settings, which isn’t a lot but it’s better than on switch or Wii U

Well you can’t buy it digitally at all anymore and if you do find the disc it’s usually priced as a “retro collectible” so the only reasonable way to get it is via the high seas—which, technically, is “really cheap”

I love Breath of The Wild, but I’m playing my third run of it on my steam deck with a significant amount of mods because those devs have a serious aversion to simple and basic qol

I mean it’s kind of par for the course. Movies have been considered an art form for a long time but they’re first and foremost treated as a business by those in control of the money

Is the artist behind this a Stardew modder? The animals look a lot like Elle’s animals

I still love their games and franchises, but damn I hate them as a company

Out of all the games in the Miyazaki series I feel like Sekiro doesn’t get enough love. It’s hard to say whether I love the gameplay or the world/lore more because I’d never seen a what is essentially a cosmic horror take on Buddhism before and that just scratched an itch that I never knew I had

I mean you can almost say that about fallout though too can’t you? There both an adaptation of the world and lore than any specific story

Yeah Fallout is more of a setting than anything, and that’s why it’s perfect for an adaptation like this. It benefited great from the fact that they didn’t really have to adapt any characters or any single storyline, but simply created a new story and characters in that world and it still be a faithful adaptation

Thanks you for this very well put together response! I definitely have an idea of what to look for now

Can anyone give me a suggestion for what cards I should be looking at to get a little over ps5 graphics without breaking the bank? It’s been a while since I worked on my last pc and I’m really lost these days

Are you saying my modding hobby is going to lead to me mod my gender
