…and then everything you do and say gets monitored by the CCP…

Sounds like a bunch of crap I don’t want, and they’re adding more crap according to this article. And if they are indeed going the way of WeChat, becoming a “super app” and partnering with Chinese and crypto companies, that makes me very nervous about privacy.

Completely disagree.

  1. Noodle is hilarious and his pregnant pauses are top-tier.

  2. This video was specifically defending the indie dev, Nelson, that made the post that kicked this stuff off. Sure, other AAA devs responded to him, but it was Nelson that got most of the negative attention and death threats, even though his opinions were VERY measured and reasonable. It was also a criticism of the IGN guy that directed everyone’s attention and pitchforks towards Nelson by cherry-picking his statements and taking them out of context.

  3. The specifics of the length/scope of the game are honestly less important, IMO. The video is just a level-headed look at why this excellent game is so excellent, and why it’s unrealistic to expect every game from now on to be like this. That, and he’s trying to get gamers to chill the fuck out and stop with the death threats.

It’s getting old. I did the thing, I deleted my Reddit account and moved to Lemmy. So I kinda just want to remove Reddit from my mind for a while, I don’t see the need to let it live rent-free in my head.

Yeah I think I ended up trying it an Ventrillo, and I preferred the latter.

Uhhhhh I first played Sons of Liberty when I was like 12 lol. Video games can and will be played by children.

Yeah, and the PvE content that was supposed to justify the “2” being cancelled. The gameplay is fine, that’s not why people are mad. It’s the fact that you have to grind for months to earn heroes and the battlepass system is garbage.

No, because you’ve posted SEVENTEEN TIMES today simping for Linus. You keep repeating “wait for both sides” even though Linus already responded directly to the GN piece and his response was GARBAGE, which is the main reason a lot of people are unsubscribing. Madison’s problem isn’t the only issue, it’s just another thing we’re throwing onto the pile.

If this was a male employee you wouldn’t be arguing this hard with the accusations.

Read past the (admittedly misleading) headline. This article is about double-sided perovskite solar panels, which is apparently just a better material, and maybe it benefits more from the double-sided structure? Not sure of the specifics, but they’re saying efficiency can reach 30%, which is a lot higher than your example.

tl;dr the limitations are pretty limiting…not ready for most people to try yet. But this is encouraging.

Yeah that’s generally the goal of disabling IMAP, it just means your company is forcing you to use the official Gmail or Outlook app. It makes some sense, as if you look for email apps on the app store, you’ll see a ridiculous amount of random crap with no guarantee that they’re not spying on every email you send and receive.

Doesn’t seem like Spark offers anything other than IMAP+SMTP Exchange support, just like Thunderbird: https://sparkmailapp.com/add-exchange-mac

So if your job blocks those protocols (for security reasons) then you can’t use Spark for your work email.

Anybody know what the paid plug-in for Thunderbird is? I’m curious to see what they’re doing, if they have some sort of hacky workaround.

Ahhhh fair enough, I didn’t realize MAPI was a paid plugin, that suuuuucks

EDIT: Reading up on this, it sounds like it doesn’t work because Microsoft doesn’t want it to work. MAPI is not an open standard like POP and IMAP. And they’re actually in the process of moving to EWS, which is also not an open standard. That fucking sucks!

Lemmur is busted because it has been abandoned. The creator made that clear on GitHub but not in the F-Droid description. I wish they’d remove it from F-Droid.

I’m trying out Thunder, Liftoff, and Jerboa, all on F-Droid. All are decent but a little buggy. Shop around, see what you like.

There are several FOSS clients already in F-Droid. I’m trying out Jerboa, Thunder, and Liftoff. Lemmur is also on F-Droid but it’s abandoned and doesn’t seem to work well.
