Ah, just a joke sadly. It’s been a hot minute though, huh?

Eh, the physics are whatever. Just the fact that every damn game looks the same because it’s all going through the exact same everything-must-be-hyperrealistic rendering pipeline is kinda sad.

Between this and every game these days running in UE5, absolutely…

Eh, I haven’t boycott Ubisoft. But also, they don’t make good games so I haven’t bought any either. Might just make it official after this though.

AMD has had a history of some pretty stellar chips, imo. The fx series just absolutelty sucked and tarnished their reputation for a long time. My Phenom II x6, though? Whew that thing kicked ass.

I honestly feel like AI placeholders are the best case for scenario for AI use. For example, letting your programmers and designers move forward with placeholder art while your art team (of actual humans) can simultaneously work on the final assets with a better idea of how they’ll fit in place.

No one’s getting replaced, no one’s rights are being infringed (depending on model). That’s the dream right there.

He does at least use his vessels for research via his company Inkfish. They map the ocean floor, discover new species, study different underwater environments etc. They actually hold world records for deepest manned dives of all 5 oceans.

Billionaires still shouldn’t exist though of course (not /s)

It’s not that it’s not supported by Linux, but that the developers of BF6 choose not to support Linux.

Personally speaking, fuck EA and fuck kernel level anti cheat anyway, good riddance.

If we’re lucky, they’ll do a Toys-R-Us and make EA fund it’s own buyout.

Right there with ya. Knees are still good. Back is a fucking mess 😂

Oh for sure, fuck these companies. I’m just saying don’t take it out on Itch.io and their current scorched earth approach, their hands are tied.

I think all games being hit is a temporary measure while they get some sort of new process in place. We’ll see where things land.

Either way, card processing companies shouldn’t be dictating what kind of art consumers can consume, even if I don’t personally agree with the content of some of the worst offenders. If it’s not outright illegal, they can fuck off.

I don’t disagree with you, but there’s no way you have thousands of hours in Qbert. Even hundreds is impressive.

They were just pointing out the benefits of in office work for the industry (compared with benefits of remote no less), and you came out swinging, your example dripping with opinion and hostility, as well as a clear lack of personal experience.

It was entirely unnecessary and rude.

Firefox is going downhill, too, unfortunately. They are still better than Google, but I don’t know for how long :(

Not sure if you realized, Genius, but you’re talking to someone else now. 🤷‍♀️

Well, if they own the IP, under the framework under which we live, their will is factually more important. 🤷‍♀️

Personal beliefs and the laws to which you are upheld are two different things. I didn’t say I agree with the law. Why are you assuming my personal beliefs?

And that’s completely valid. However, under the current legal framework, that simply isn’t the case.

Don’t get me wrong, fuck Bethesda, but they’re the owners of the IP…whatever they say is more important is more important, paid or not…

That’s not even true. LLMs in their modern iteration are significantly enabled by transformers, something that was only proposed in 2017.

The conceptual foundations of LLMs stretch back to the 50s, but neither the physical hardware nor the software architecture were there until more recently.

Language learning, code generatiom, brainstorming, summarizing. AI has a lot of uses. You’re just either not paying attention or are biased against it.

It’s not perfect, but it’s also a very new technology that’s constantly improving.

Dude, wtf? You don’t have to be such a dick, eh?

It’s kind of wild seeing Nintendo just make an upgraded version of the previous console. Even the Wii U was fairly transformative, even if not great.

This, from the perspective of someone who isn’t huge on Nintendo, kinda feels more like a “Switch Pro” kind of thing, no?

I feel like the language chosen was very specific for good reason.

So…software emulation…kinda. I guess translation technically. Whatever lol.
