I’ve converted several Apex players to the wildly underrated Quake Champions

Bioshock comes to mind. You’ll miss some side stuff with a 10hr play through but I think it’s doable. Amazing game

I would think it’s for people who want to leave their PC hooked up to their PC and use it exclusively as a gaming console

Go for it

I also picked up a similar one for a similar deal

Only deal breaker was a poor trackpad, poor battery, and very heavy. But performance was very good for the price

Is it possible to prevent the app from unsubscribing you from communities?

The Sony C700N looks good, might be slightly too bassy for my taste by default but Sony has decent EQ options in their app

The Apple one sounds great tbh, altho I know Moondrop makes one that should have a lil more power and should be a bit more durable long-term (my apple ones have held up well so far tho)

You can easily leave them attached to your headphones 24/7, which helps avoid losing them

I’ve had headphone jacks on phones break and thats a lot harder and more expensive to fix than buying a tiny dongle (that creates negligible amounts of waste)

I’d argue they’re actually a very good solution 🤷 (aside from arguably on iOS with their dumb proprietary port, but thats easily fixed with USB C)

Probably harder to make stuff repairable and modular when it’s smaller

Speaking as an audiophile, you can buy a USB C dongle for like $10 that even has a good DAC. Only issue is if you’re regularly charging and listening to wired buds simultaneously

When do you expect it to be available on FDroid/IzzyOnDroid?

Literally what most people I want to talk to wish I used.

Context: 20s in Canada

More PC Handelds is more better, love seeing more competition in the space

3.5mm + adapter is prob the better route.

I’d suggest Moondrop Chu 2 and an Apple USB C dongle (best value product apple makes)

Yea I remember this controversy, didn’t seem very convincing

I really like UpNote, pretty simple but it’s fast and has enough features to make it reasonably powerful (altho much less so than Notion)

How’s the Nova beta feel?

I tried it a while back and got too many bugs

Oh I definitely have lots, it’s not perfect. But I think it’s great despite it’s flaws

Afps is already a small, low budget genre so I try and focus on criticizing things Sync/the dev can actually work on and improve.

Doesn’t help Afps as a whole to be overly critical on stuff that’s simply not going to change rn. I love the genre so, I choose to be positive :)

There’s a difference between being critical and being constructive

Lol just let people like things dude. Lots of people love the game 🤷

Disagree by far. Even Rapha thinks it’s the best Quake

Plus this is a LAN so hit reg is good

Not FOSS but, I love TickTick, it’s a great cross-platform reminders app. I’ve tested a ton but TickTick is my fav

Id say tune in rn and/or tomorrow/Saturday morning.

Here’s a pic of the results for the previous season. The bottom 8 have to play today against 8 Challenger players.

The top 8 in QPL get a bye today and get to skip to tomorrow.

In terms of rivalries, the biggest rn is probably Raisy v Rapha. Raisy has come 2nd place to Rapha countless times by now. Sadly even when Raisy wins, he ends up coming 2nd to K1llsen or Vengeur haha. I’m rooting for him this weekend.

Where are you?

In Canada I’ve never heard this being charged for

The Phone Link app has improved a lot lately, haven’t had any connectivity issues lately

I suppose it depends who you ask. I’ve gone back and played the older Quake’s but much prefer Quake Champions personally. But to me, all quake is good quake

Exclusively price. I want a Fold very bad but, too much $

Tbh feels identical to PWA with Brave but, felt good already so no complaints

I use one called Wifi Widget, just shows me various info about my wifi. Kinda interesting altho I don’t actually use that information all too often

5.8-6.3 range is pretty ideal. I’m running a Pixel 7 Pro rn and I like it but it’s too big.

Alternatively I’d love a Fold 5 if it wasn’t so expensive lol

For the time being I’m sticking with Voyager. Sync is a lil too pricey and Infinity doesn’t quite feel finished it’s Lemmy migration (was my fav reddit app)

I would absolutely love a folding phone but, can’t justify the price these days. Someday for sure

I don’t pay for Spark so idk what you mean

Altho I’m not opposed to paying for software if it means funding ongoing development and improvement

I find Spark mail to have the best UI
