This reminds me of Star Trek Voyager’s Chakotay(?) and total fraud that “helped” with the native background.

Yeah, the list is hit or miss. Some of the games are genuinely good and the recent baby diaper toss just seems childish, while some games are just plain bad regardless.

I felt like going back to swtor. My main account was disabled, expired or something and I can’t recover it without calling some dumb schmucks working for EA support.
Went in on a secondary account I used to bypass the character restrictions and now I’m scratching the itch until it finally dies for good.
It has a daily login reward, some kind of battle pass, everything is paywalled, limited number of rewards, they changed character creation and unified classes, but pvp is active.

Overall, I don’t recommend it.

Morons can’t even pull off a Grognak the Barbarian stunt.

It is just a cash grab. Bunch of creative minds create a nuclear fallout package that needs you to go online to redeem it.
They can’t even grasp the most simple of concept their games have: stuff that works hundreds of years after a nuclear fallout.

A real storage case would have an offline collection of the games, a guide on the basics of survival after nuclear war, a simple radiation badge and maybe even a glowing Nuka-Cola bottle.
It’s that simple. (Relatively.)

A review said it requires a server connection in order to play offline?

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines

PC stuff, multiple choices, conspiracies, all there.

I didn’t have to wrack my brain to know it helps the lazy bums who don’t know or don’t want to do anything themselves.
While I’m out of the loop with the current state of affairs, in the early days there were plenty of comments from people who didn’t know what WinRAR or even an archive was. Couldn’t even install the most basic of mods without a video tutorial. Couldn’t even ask for help properly. “Help! The dumb mods not working!!!”

It was as hilarious as it was tragic.

Wait. You’re telling me Starfield doesn’t have the recently reported 30 million mods?

I got a free fighting game on epic. Dnf Duels or something. One of the tutorials had a combination to block or counterattack, can’t remember, and I tried every which way I could think of yet nothing worked.
So finally, I got out of the game and uninstalled it.

The big moment was figuring out it’s not my job to find a way of fixing some company’s dumbass decisions. That it’s ok to say “this shit ain’t worth the hassle”.

Just saw this post through my random explorations. Now I gotta keep an eye out for some Age of Mythology announcements.

Thanks!

Haven’t tried anything yet, but I’m thinking of seeing Millennia and comparing it to Civilization.

Of the ones I have:

  • GTA V campaign. It’s low on my priority list despite being the first one written here.
  • King’s Bounty series (new ones). Finished The Legend and am halfway through Armored Princess. Not sure when I’ll finish it though.
  • XCOM series (new one). Starting a 2nd wave marathon. Not sure I’ll reach Chimera Squad.
  • Halo collection. Wanna go through the entire Master Chief campaign in one go. Maybe in summer.
Other random stuff depending on the craving.

Is the player stuck as this Phyre and can pick a clan or Phyre will be whatever the player chooses?

Galactic Civilizations III. I’m about 10 turns away from filling up the Ascension Crystals with a custom civilization focused on research.
The research tree seems endless with many 1-turn tech still left to unlock and I have no idea what to focus on in order to build the Ascension Portal/Gate thing.
But I unlocked the Huge design for ships, so I’m going to try and make one before the time is up.

I spent around 8 hours total on this match, most of it Sunday. I’ll probably finish it tomorrow if I have time to play.

I agree with that. So the contracts made beforehand should reflect this and expire naturally rather than actively laying employees off.
Or is the title clickbait?

If you need to fire a large number of employees then someone in management failed to manage.

It also shows they have no idea what they’re doing. Redundancies are good for tech.

Not yet. But the possibility is being looked into.

This reminds me I’m kinda surprised EA hasn’t released a Jennifer Hale voicebot by now, marketing it as “your own personal Cmdr Shepard assistant”.

No, I didn’t. Huh. Still, golden cow is right. Because what it produces is still a pile of manure.

The /s is not needed. I was quite impressed to hear that EA Sports is one of the main money makers of EA despite having each new game as a buggier version of a previous one, only with an updated roster. I had no idea they were so popular and the last FIFA I played properly was in 2003.
So we are out there and we do think like that.

Wow. Star Trek Online is an embarassment as it is now, now they want to make it worse?
Guess i should get ready for its shutdown… Couple of years from now when its been milked dry by the zen currency bots.
