I guess that makes sense, if it’s not that common … but then … why go OUT OF YOUR WAY to make the experience worse? It’s like, why didn’t they just say “oh hey, they have a wide monitor, nice!” but instead they said “oh hey, they have wide monitor, GO FUCK YOURSELF”

Not to mention they were actively hostile towards ultrawide gamers. The engine would render it, but then put black bars overtop the sides. Kind of amazing really that level of hatred towards gamers.

and recently the AI written garbage “gamer” websites have become a problem as well. You can tell instantly that some ai just collected and regurgitated a bunch of text that doesn’t even make sense.

Now I pretty much stick just to the fan created wikis. Stuff like bg3.wiki and uesp.net

fuck this fucking guy so hard. The fact that he’s been able to UP UNTIL NOW spend all his time in the lap of luxury in palo alto is a disgrace.

I don’t know, they are focusing a ton right now on re-releasing REALLY old mobile games, just with a plus symbol added to the name. That’s polar opposite from premium high end titles. If they do want to go that direction they need to change course immediately!

And they had to make a bunch of posts and updates begging people to delete all saves and even completely uninstall the game. Hell, weeks ago they were flat out telling people not to even play it at all.

Which is all so silly. I really hope Valve took notice of all this, since it’s such a huge release. They could definitely do with some improvements to this whole EA -> full release. Even as simple as having an option for two downloads (old EA version you can play now OR prerelease full version you cannot play until x time on y date).

I’m amazed they haven’t already. I suppose it was baked in super hard from the very beginning so divorcing from it now must be a huge task.

2.5h left for me! CMON GO FASTER I NEED MORE INTERNETS

Absolutely. I don’t know how people play complex CRPG’s with a controller. Just the inventory alone would drive me nuts!

outside of Apple arcade, I don’t think Apple cares one iota about gaming. As evidenced by your observation. It’s a huge market to miss, but they don’t really seem to care. All they keep doing is adding old mobile remakes of games everyone has played before to their Arcade subscription nobody would ever pay for if it wasn’t bundled into Apple one…

I constantly drop my phone, the kid knocks it off the dinner table, it gets rained on, etc etc etc… I have an iphone 12 pro (coming up on three years old) with no screen protector, just a regular case (albeit a really good case: Peak Design) and it’s still going strong to this day with zero malfunctions or visible wear even. I think I do need to replace the case. But anyway … I don’t think any kind of foldable / flippable phone could survive that kind of life.

Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks. Both amazing! Especially SNW. Absolutely loving this season, I honestly want to go back and rewatch all the current eps as they release.

I do not care about the screen tech one bit, I think LCD is fine for handheld if the price is low, but what I DO care about is using somewhat modern cpu/gpu so games don’t constantly lag even trying to hit 30fps. That’s by far my biggest complaint about the Switch 1. So if they can fix that then I’m on board! If not, I’ll probably just honestly pirate everything and play it on my computer where it won’t run like dog ass.

This is a very good thing. Thank you EU for forcing us dirty heathens in NA to have consumer protections.
