Same with the survivors who killed themselves after being scanned for the ark because they wanted to achieve “continuity.” It’s explained but they just can’t accept it because it means they’re going to die.

I’d recommend playing SOMA again, but this time get extremely baked before you play. I’m joking (not really) but I found that game’s story so profound and interesting. It was like the most twisted unsettling environment I’ve ever seen. It had basic walking sim mechanics but being able to explore the environment and look at things up close was just really enjoyable.

Also, I Inverse Tonemapped the game from SDR to HDR, so while not the best use of HDR, the added contrast gave the game a more pleasing spooky vibe. I also ran it at 4x DLDSR so it was very sharp.

I love it. Both Ellie and Abby are in the right. And both of them are also pieces of shit, lol. I really like the internal conflicts and grey area morality that both characters operate in.

Why did you want to throw your controller? Was there a very hard part? I’m playing on normal difficulty so so far nothing has been THAT hard. Only a few situations with infected where I ran out of ammo and barely got by.

I’m like 75% through the 2nd game and I honestly don’t understand what everyone was screaming about. The gameplay and level design are insanely detailed and better than the 1st game (which was still really good.)

I’ve been craving another experience like SOMA but unfortunately nothing even comes close. It was probably the coolest and most disturbing story I’ve ever seen. Finishing that game gave me an existential crisis for like 2 days after. It was that good.

Playing Subnautica after the first playthrough isn’t nearly as scary, but still so much fun. I’d suggest playing it first on normal flatscreen, and then playing it a 2nd time in VR.

Edit: make sure to grab the vr fix mods off nexus mods if playing in vr. There is one to fix audio and one to fix controls. These are basically mandatory for a good experience.

They made such a big deal about the witcher 4 not being about Geralt and being it’s own story, and now they’re just extending Ciri’s storyline. Pretty braindead decision in my opinion. It feels like they are just lazy and gave up on making a new character.

I’m mad about Ciri being the main character, however the reason I’m mad is not because of her character or her being a woman. What I’m upset about is that I thought this game would take place in a completely different time period or region. Like maybe during the first witchers? Maybe in the future? But no, CDPR is just force extending existing characters and a story that clearly ended. Zzzzz
