Yeah this argument doesn’t really hold up anymore. It is not as hard as it used to be to make games run on different hardware. I don’t think it is cost prohibitive for them to handle multi platform on modern hardware with modern software. I also don’t think exclusives benefit the people buying video-games. Exclusives don’t seem to benefit the people who make the games. They are mostly beneficial to the companies who sell the consoles. And who gives a fuck about them?
Wow. TCF is my main game right now. I have been playing it a lot recently. I followed this games development all the way back from the beginning when it was a different game all together. I watched them change direction. I loved the old BR game and I fell in love with TCF all over again when it became an extraction shooter. I am really sad to see it go.
I haven’t pre-ordered a game since 2011. They aren’t usually playable for a few weeks at least after launch anyway. The trend is becoming a year or two wait for games to get to the state promised pre-launch. By then they are heavily discounted or in some cases free to play. Just a way better deal.
