It needs to be viable first, which obviously won’t happen when the management keeps stumbling into PR nightmares weekly.

Cool gimmick, but I’m gonna wait till all the kinks are worked out (or at least, all the major ones). Right now, I just don’t care enough to buy an unreliable phone with a hinge.

Pretty sure EU regulations allow for batteries that are internal, but reasonably user-replaceable. The Switch’s battery is one of those.

ARM chips have seen massive gains too. If they use a sufficiently powerful chip, then I’m sure they could easily match the performance of a PS4.

Sakurai remembered that if he wasn’t making Smash games, he’d have too much time to sleep; SIX whole hours! Of SLEEP!

Buy something older or lower-end. Most high-end flagships these days run hot.

Hardware:

They make high-quality hardware and I like that they’re trying to do something new and interesting with foldable tech, but I’ve never been a fan of their Exynos processors and foldables (imo) have proven to be little more than a gimmick that sacrifices far too much on durability for minimal benefit to most people.

Software:

I hate bloatware, and I’m not a fan of their crusade against open bootloaders.

tbh I think foldables are a bit too clunky to be the future. Rollable displays though…fuck yeah sign me up!

There’s a fine line between desirable ‘white space’ and too much padding, which Google should probably do a better job at finding.

You summed up my feelings on OnePlus perfectly. There was a time I liked their phones (purely because they offered great hardware and a barebones Android experience) but then their devices progressively got worse in every single way. Now, not a single one of their overpriced phones is worth buying.

r/Nintendo is still down too, which means even Mario’s had enough of spez and his bullshit.
