I just finished Ys 2 (in the Ys Chronicles version) and going to move on Ys -The Oath In Felghana soon.

The only Ys have I played when I was young was Ys 3 -Wanderers From Ys, and I loved it, so it will be cool to see what Oath changes up.

This one came out, I want to say, around the time of Pillars of Eternity, Divinity Original Sin, Tyranny, Wasteland 2.

Which were all a similar style like that, but Pathfinder was the only one that didn’t get a positive reception. I remember clearly wondering “What does this one do wrong?”

I just installed MGS5 and Ground Zeros. Having never played a Metal Gear game, so I might hate it but I want to try.

Terraria

Grim Dawn

Skyrim

Stardew

Borderlands

But this is just steam, doesn’t include all the time I’ve spent running the shadows (Shadowrun on Sega).

Ys 1 & 2 Chronicles. I always liked the idea of Ys as a series, but couldn’t get into it, now I’m forcing myself.

My two favourites as well. I never made it far in Torchlight 2 though, once I started getting further in; Grim Dawn came along.

Bleh. But in the end I don’t expect anything good out of the AAA industry. I goes it’s an exception nowadays whether as gave like this can be good. And I mean, it’s not like I was gonna play it anyway.

Haha. No, those games give me no frame of reference. But that kind of tells me everything I need to know anyway!

Why is that? I played Origins on ps3 but I’ve never played any of the sequels, so I have no idea.

I’m fairly sure when you load it up with that dlc active, it warns you that it will be significantly more difficult.

Send the disc to activision and tell them you need a replacement for this damaged disc. Just to see how it plays out at least.

My thoughts on the series:

I used to play the DOS version of NFS1, and it was a blast at the time, but it’s outshined as new games came along.

NFS2se - I only had the demo, but it looked amazing showing off the 3dfx cards. If you play this one, it’s so janky. Absolutely horrendous driving physics, and looking back it was all flash over gameplay.

NFS3 Hit Pursuit. My friend got this for Windows as a “send in a coupon get a free game” deal. So much fun, we spent hours and hours with this.

NFS Porsche 2000. I loved it. I played it so much and for years and years it was my favourite racer.

NFS Underground- my brother had a hacked OG Xbox, so he rented the game and copied it to the hdd. We played this like crazy. I was 18 and just finishing high school if I remember correctly, also my gf had just moved away to the city, so I wasn’t having a good time. This game was a great distraction and super fun.

NFS Underground 2. I played it for a few hours only. I’d moved away from home and was a poor student, so I pirated it. I didn’t like the open world concept so I didn’t play it much.

NFS Hot Pursuit 2010. I got this on PS3 when it was released. I had a lot of fun with it. My partner has the remaster on her Switch, and it’s still a good time.

That’s all I’ve played in the series, and for me the winner was Porsche 2000.

Crate was formed by former Titan Quest devs (can’t remember the name).

I loved this on ps3. I thought I had it on GOG, but apparently I have it on steam instead. Before this I’d only played Tower Defence games on a flash website that had been clearly drawn using paint, so seeing one professionally made was very nice.

I used to play it a little bit. I was playing so much Terraria and this one seemed super fun too, but after a while it just wasn’t clicking as much to keep getting me to come back and play more.

I played Fallout 2 again last year whilst I was on a few weeks break from work. I was hoping to capture the magic of the summer of 98/99 when I spent my entire school holiday playing it.

We’ll that doesn’t really work when a toddler and pregnant partner need you all the time… but still super fun and it was to nice revisit and bring back those memories.

Some more modern run and guns - Blazing Chrome and Huntdown. Both of those are a good time.

The one that’s just called Castlevania is subtitled Circle Of The Moon depending where you live.

Right before it launched I started seeing a ads for the game featuring Michelle Rodriguez. As soon as it launched the ads kept running but Rodriguez had been cut out of them. Someone must have given her management a heads up and they pulled the plug on that shit.

My favourite phone ever was my first android phone in 2010, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini (e10i). Every time I’ve had to buy a phone since, I’ve looked around trying to find something similar, but it feels like no such thing will ever exist.

Not very many people are familiar because they were Mac exclusive.

When I finally played Red Dead Redemption 2. I usually don’t play this type of big budget game, but my friends loved it and kept talking it up. I waited for years for a steam sale until it was finally about $20. Also, I loved outlaws (1997) and was pretty keen for another cowboy game.

An hour of listening to guys walk through the snow and I was out.
