100% worth it. I’ve had a few issues early on but I’m rocking oldish hardware (6700k, 2080 ti). It’s been rock solid for the last 6 months though. A lot of games that ran semi poorly in Windows run great now (Control and Arkham Knight def come to mind) and some cpu heavy bullet hell style games slow to a crawl now much earlier on (I can get sub 20 fps real quick in Rogue Genesia).

Then why aren’t they getting jobs to support this claim? The number of 8 years olds with a credit card is STILL zero and it’s 2025. Aren’t they in interested in building their credit?

I loved all the improvements to the gem system. Low lvl crafting felt good and the improvements, while quite small, we’re noticeable. It’s just a really bad pace for me. I never felt the dps ramp up at all. It never felt like i was killing anything faster or more efficiently and the “combos” while cool still involved just more clicking. I never felt like the game play improved. Just mechanics and graphics and polish.

I’m not a Souls person and i hated the extra hard mode they added to PoE1 so maybe the game just isn’t for me.

In typical poe fashion they are unrewarding and slow. They added dodge roll to a game and now I’m supposed to use it non stop. White mobs need to be ground down. And i get it, they wanted to slow shit down. They def did.

DMCA used to be used very very rarely because it carries(carried?) significant penalties for using it like a club. Now it’s just being used like a club and it’s quite obvious there’s no penalty.

Initial impression for me (4.5k hours in PoE1) was a hard no. Things is I’m pretty bad and I’m pretty lazy. It’s def harder, more punishing and the pace is much slower if you just thought you could aoe spam your way to end game.

About 5 hours in on my third class I’m struggling but having fun. It’s def a steep curve.

While i agree, the steam deck is not only a great device but an alternative to piracy for me. I haven’t pirated a game that’s available on steam more than a handful of times and only once i didn’t buy it afterwards. With a resurrection of the demo now, I’ll play before i buy like the old days.
