As a full stack web dev I’ve been using AI off and on and while it seems really good at basic markup language, it almost never gets PHP or JS right.

It suggests weird ways of doing things that either don’t work, are completely asinine, use some random unknown libraries, or is just outdated.

My experience with BF6.

Open beta required to watch twitch for 30 minutes to get a key to get early access. Got key, doesn’t work, says it’s invalid. Load up game, can’t play because it’s only early access beta and locked. Try again the next day, now the game won’t even start up saying secure boot must be enabled. Check bios, secure boot is enabled. Guess I can’t play BF6?

I came home pre early access and saw that I could play if I just watched some stream on twitch for 30 minutes. So I did. Got the code and it did not work. Started up the game and it was locked until early access/ next day.
Went to bed and tried again on early access. Now the game won’t even start, claiming it needs secure boot to be on. I have secure boot on.

Yeah. Maybe if it drops under $20 and has a positive Steam Customer rating, I would consider it.

But not if I have to change my Bios just to play it. Most gamers won’t even understand how to turn on those security features.

Gambling addicts are 15x more likely to commit suicide, be in 15k + debt, etc. Bringing gambling addiction to a game played by young adults reminds me of when they used to market cigarettes to minors

First movie was 1987, so at least 38 years later

Only a non gamer would say something so blatantly false

That’s the same way I was introduced to Half Life. Valve has made that money back 1000 fold

He’s got the Midas touch, if Midas turned stuff to shit instead of gold

I hear you. It’s worth a play, but there are 30ish heroes all with some what unique abilities and counters. It can be overwhelming…

Good games do. Playing Marvel rivals, it has ping, network meter, etc

Marvel rivals is a late entry, but for someone who doesn’t play hero shooters, I’m hooked. It’s super polished

I’m past 50 and I still watch multiple gaming videos daily. Neebs gaming, ragg tag, zylbrad, etc. Most of the creators I watch are entertaining no matter what they are doing. I spend more time gaming than watching videos.

I’ve been doing this for decades. I just get bored easily. But every now and then I find a game that works for me and I spend 1000s of hours playing it. At this point I probably have a 1000+ games and 70% of them I played 2 to 4 hours…

Good luck.
Every few months I’ll fire it up and the results are the same. Lag, fps stuttering and eventually if I get my ship going it will crash. If you’re not rocking a 3060 or better, it’s not really playable.

Well my coworker is considering a PS5, but is leaning towards a more powerful prebuilt gaming pc for about $100 more.

Newegg.com. Any build with a 6800 or better, 8 core CPU and 16 GB Ram.

https://www.ign.com/articles/playstation-5-pro-vs-playstation-5-specs-performance-compared

Author of that article produced a PC for about $867 iirc that rivaled the pro.

The pro doesn’t include a stand $30 or a disk drive $60. A drive for the PC is under $20. This is all USD.

If you want to play online that’s another $120 per year for PlayStation.

When you start adding up all the little expenses and then factor in that a PC can do 100 things a console can’t, it’s going to be a better investment in the short and long run to get a PC over a PS5 Pro

Also no source for this because you can take a calculator and figure it out yourself

I just built a system: Ryzen 7, 16 GB Ram, NVME SSD, 6680 XT etc. $825 total

I picked up Solasta. Pretty decent, but awfully linear with no real RPG choices. Worth $8

Gave it 3 games filled with hackers.

Or when EA will just break their service for a week, so you can’t log in or play any of their online games.
