Two Devil May Cry games have been pulled from Steam by Capcom and may no longer be purchased from Valve’s store in their original versions.

I was never into these games myself but if I was I would just emulate the old ones.

They didn’t pull DMC2 just out of principle? Foolishness, Dante, foolishness.

What, they couldn’t fill these games’ dark souls with light DRM so they pulled em instead?

reference in case anyone didn’t get it

Why? Is there a cost to leaving it there?

Because they would rather (re)sell you the game in a more expensive bundle or a remake, both of which have added “features” like DRM that makes the game harder to use.

Companies seem to enjoy punishing those who purchase their products

You can still buy Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, from 2015, and Devil May Cry 3 is included as part of the HD Collection triple pack, which contains the first three games.

I’m guessing they’re going to offer another bundle pack that includes DMC4 or release some other updated version of these.

Hard to care though, the Enigma DRM BS has strongly turned me off from Capcom. I’ll support companies that don’t actively screw over paid customers, thanks.

The original port of DMC3 was a horrific mistake that should have never released in the first place.
