It’s literally gambling, because the best stuff is virtually always gated behind some hilariously small jackpot odds.

I assumed they intentionally misspelled it as a clever nod to this aspect of the genre

It probably would’ve been something on the Sega Genesis but hell if I know now

employers LLM screening bots will see (and swiftly reject) a stream of résumés (regardless) of once-in-a-lifetime quality

I feel like this message applies to pretty much anything you can make and for any generation.

To make, be authentic

Bethesda: What is this new feature? What does it do exactly?

NVIDIA: It just works.

Bethesda: Now you’re speaking my language.

I really wanted to like Last Epoch, played for probably 30 hours or so, just didn’t feel like it was worth it to continue

Yeah they had tons of driver issues early last year, pretty sure they were vibe coding drivers at least that far back

Would prefer not to get a pop up every 20 minutes for their kickstarter but it does seem like they have a solid foundation to work from

Do you have the wifi antennae attached to the motherboard? I think most if not all also use them as antennae for bluetooth, and I know I had much better connection to mine once I put those on (range still sucks but the connection is pretty stable in the area around the PC).

As for the speakers, idk, my first thought was Windows specific but based on your other post it looks like you’re on Linux of some variety.

I would assume the people buying it on Steam while it’s free on Epic aren’t bothering to claim it on Epic, so they don’t “already have it”

Asus has freed us from price gouging due to supply constraints!

Asus: Oh I wouldn’t say freed, more like, under new management.

I think the Quantic Dream games (Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain, etc.) work well to watch since there isn’t much to miss out in the gameplay, mostly just walking, talking, and QTEs. The writing varies wildly in quality, so it’s often a MST3K-like experience with the game being mocked (at least ones I’ve watched), just depends whose playthrough you’re watching.

I hope you get to play it some day, it’s very good

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 kind of has the gaining abilities from mastering equipment thing you mentioned, it’s not really equipment in that you can’t see the items being put on, but you equip items that give abilities and after a few battles with it you master the ability and can change to another item but equip the ability through a separate resource pool.

YARG and Clone Hero (and others) exist, they’re obviously not as big as Fortnite but big enough. Also the Gibson thing you’re referring to is from CRKD, who started putting out new guitars over the summer, plus the already mentioned PDP Riffmaster. So it seems there’s at least enough demand out there that 2 companies started making new controllers for these games.

Damn, beat me to it, except I was gonna say “Ouya? Try ‘Oh no!’”

Is hardcore mode where if the computer crashes it automatically deletes any files you had and resets the OS to a clean slate?

Even if the AI bubble bursts by then, chuds will probably come up with some new bullshit to keep the market inflated, just like scalpers, crypto miners, and NFT weirdos before them.

To summarize this thread: It’s not the size of the map, it’s how you use it

So uh, what happened between March and September 2021 that caused the current upward trend? Was the Windows 11 announcement that poorly received?

I’m gonna cheat and give 3 I don’t see mentioned

Red from Transistor
Miriam from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Ajna from Indivisible

Saddle sold separately for just $5.99 a month plus a one-time fee of $15.99 + tax, processing, and S&H.

I’ll stick with indifference thanks, hate isn’t worth the energy

Makes sense to me, I’ve long believed that games shouldn’t be announced more than 6 months from release

That’s markdown for you. Increasing the number of #'s decreases the size.

I refuse to entertain the idea of PS3 being retro until at least next year, when it turns 20. Now you might say “okay then, GTA V also came out on Xbox 360, which turns 20 in about 2 months” to which I say… get off my lawn!
