I liked a lot the previous one, and the demo for this felt solid with only some minor technical issues that I hope have been ironed out. Will be getting it.
I enjoyed the first one, I’ll buy this one sometime in the future. As always I don’t remember much of the story from the first because my memory is crap, but I remember it left a good impression.

If I understand the situation correctly, Head Up was purchased by another company and probably forced Bleakmill to push this game out way too early.
I never finished the first part: it felt like a Half-Life 2 remake made by a tiny team 10 years later. Oh, and constant dark. Everywhere was too dark. It was so dark that they decided to let the flashlight to have infinite batteries.
Kinda disappointing but not entirely unexpected. The first game was far from perfect too but still turned out to be fairly interesting. I’ll probably pick the sequel up when it’s on sale.

Currently this game demo is like v0.2 and it’s pretty rough. Reading some of the reviews it doesn’t look like the full game is much better
