This looks way better. The other game doesn’t look like a Castlevania game. Could just be the art direction isn’t for me but I prefer the HD-pixel art and detailed backgrounds here.

You could’ve clarify by saying “hack and slash”, which is what the og GOW and DMC are, “action game” is so broad it could even include ff7r, kh, and even battletoad

“Hack and slash” is not the definitive name of the genre. It’s just what you know to call it. There’s no definitive name to that genre, but you wouldn’t know that because, again, for some absurd reason you’re in an online argument over a topic you clearly don’t care about.

This looks great. Kind of how is think a modern Castlevania game would look. Definitely didn’t think GoW would be the ones to do it.

Ah, if your preference is pixel graphics then Blasphemous 1 & 2 would probably be your pace if you haven’t played them.
To me, the GoW gameplay looked a little to heavy and stiff (especially for it being GoW).
When is it coming to PC?
Woah, it’s by Santa Monica. Glad big dev get to have fun with smaller project, we need to see more of these from other big studio.
