Today’s game is Red Dead Redemption’s Undead Nightmare. I wanted to stay on theme for my little “Horror Month” but literally everything except this and Silent Hill f is still installing, so i decided to boot this up. I ended up not doing much with the story though. I rode into a town and cleared it out while following the power lines (I wanted to see where they go). When i was younger i couldn’t play this because the Zombie’s freaked younger me out. They still do in some games. In Undead Nightmare, despite the sometimes comedic tones it still has me on edge because these guys are like roaches and fucking everywhere. On top of that they sprint at you like a Track Athlete doing a bull impression.
Speaking of those powerlines i was following? Turns out, at least on one side they end randomly next to the tracks.
While i was clearing out blackwater, i ended up wondering what the fuck happened in the last 24 hours to set everything on fire. The girl mentioned that everything kind of went bad yesterday. So did people just start setting things on fire a day in? Just, damn, things went to shit fast.
I brought a zombie corpse back for this guy too. I ended up watching him too see what he does with it. He just stood over it and smoked. He said he was a doctor, but i don’t know what kind of doctor smokes over a corpse. Then again, i major in computer science so what do i know about diseases?
Around here was where i stopped. In a way this was kind of like confronting a fear younger me had (though i’ve been over it for a long while). It was still fun too play through though. The supercharged Dead Eye and new weapons are a lot of fun. I have a lot of stuff planned for October, but if i get time I want to revisit this (and maybe finish the OG too).

Such a masterpiece of a game that they just let fall to the floor and collect dust while they kept GTA on a pedestal to milk it for every penny.
