Today’s game is some more Super Mario Galaxy. I didn’t beat it today, but i did make it to the last world so i just have to clear that. I even got a green star, which i thought i couldn’t get all 3 until after the game. But, i did get one.
I did the Spring Level, and can i just say, i like the concept. I hate the execution though. I always felt like i had to slam the B button to get it to bounce, and that didn’t even work half the time. I ended up ditching it and using triple jumps and spin jumps to climb. I only had to use it at the very end and that was a challenge. Seriously, this power up does not go well with me.
I did the desert one too. This is where i got the green star. I did all the stars because i swear i remember seeing a video about an almost impossible 1 up mushroom in the level, but i couldn’t find the planet it was on anywhere. So i must presume that was Galaxy 2 instead. It’s a shame, i really wanted to try and get it. Maybe see if having spin bound too a button helped.
A lot of these later levels gave me some trouble. This one had me running on some spinning platforms and i had to jump at just the right angle to get there. I ended up going through all 5 of my lives to get the star.
Besides that though, i did manage to get enough to finish the game soon hopefully. I want to try tomorrow, but we’ll see. I have a lot to do tomorrow and may just end up taking it easy.
