A Reddit user posted a screenshot showing that their RTX 5080 has fewer ROPs than it should. Nvidia didn’t include the RTX 5080 when it confirmed to The Verge that a manufacturing defect is leaving “less than 0.5%” of 5090, 5090D, and 5070 Ti chips short on ROPs. The company didn’t immediately respond to our request for comment on this new report. [Media: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/1iwi18d/rtx_5080_missing_rops/]

Still running my 1080. Had dual 1080s but nothing supports SLI so I just made my wife a new comp with the extra one. Looks like I’ll never go back to Nvidia though. Their stock value got the best of them and now they’re bullshitting for shareholder returns.

Wonder if there will actually be any consequences from the neutered CFPB, SEC, and the like.

If last year was the year of “let’s all laugh at Intel” it looks like we have a new punchline this year. Fucking hell Nvidia.

Looks like my 3060 is the last Nvidia card I’ll be using

I literally just upgraded to a 3060 the other day. Having low requirements has its benefits.
