China could be considered the sleeping lion awakening in the global gaming industry. And there’s plenty of ‘soft power’ to be exerted through its ventures.

Lots of games top the Steam charts. China got one.

To be fair, many Chinese games don’t release on Steam and have their own launcher instead. For example, Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail would likely still be near the top of Steam charts, but they never released on Steam.

China has made more than just one popular or high playercount game. Sure their government sucks, but its doing the hard working Chinese developers a disservice to say they only get one achievement because we don’t like their countrys government.

It means players get another good quality singleplayer game while big publishers get one more game to ignore when claiming singleplayer games don’t sell.

It literally means nothing. There are countless Chinese games, most of them are on the app and play store.
