Is it worth buying a ps5 to just put Linux on it?

A steamdeck is my most powerful system, I also have an old pc with an i7-8700 but no gpu.

Maybe, getting a gpu for that is a better value?

You can also get a bc250 mining blade. I believe it has a working gpu instead of the dev boards.

I’m pretty sure you can buy Dev boards with that apu.

Shoving a GPU onto your i7-8700 system wouldn’t be a bad idea.

GamersNexus tried it and the benchmarks were atrocious. So for video games, sadly no.
