Today’s game is Halo 3. I had this whole thing planned for today like i did with Reach, but the Cloud Flare outage stopped me from getting on (as of now pixelfed is still offline). I suppose i spent the time being productive at least. I wrote a few commands, one too upload pictures to Pixelfed from the terminal, one too sort my screenshots, and i revamped my compression command. So at least it wasn’t a total waste.
Anyways, me and some friends played through Halo 3 (again). We only made it through a few levels but i had fun. I was doing my usual skull run when i lost it in the drainage basin. It looks like Master Chief is cradling it like a baby.

I took a few of these cool looking screenshots with the Thermite master chief was throwing at a brute. The lighting made it look sick. I like how the orange of the Thermite lights up his mask. It reminds me of like promotional art.

The actual photo though? I think it was a bit more comedic than anything. Still though, i like how both turned out. They both have different but good tones.

The entirety of Sierra 117 we spent trying to kill each other. Usually with sticky grenades, but sometimes we’d hit each other with melee or guns. I think we’re kind of each other’s worst enemy in this game. We were responsible for killing each other far more than the enemies were i think.

We ended off after Crow’s Nest. It was late and my friends had work in the morning and i have class in the evening, so we decided to put it off to the side for another day (maybe tonight). It was a good time playing with them, and though the outage has left me drained, i still got some fun new tools to use while doing my screenshots.

Ooh, I would love to see your commands / scripts, if you are willing to put the on some day.
I’d have to take a look. They’re nothing fancy, just some simple bash scripts that go through the folder and do some actions. The Pixelfed one though has an API key in it though so I’ll have to see if I can remove it (my codes a bit of a mess. In hindsight that was not A great practice)
Heh, don’t worry, that’s how everyone starts.
True, i think it’s just a universal constant though. I’ve been programming for 10 years and it’s always been a mess lol
Yeah. I think it’s because no matter how much you improve, you keep learning new stuff to make your code better, so it always feel like what you have already written is a mess.
Also, obligatory comic about code quality:
