Today’s game is some more Super Mario Galaxy. I had planned to play The Last of Us Part II today, and then maybe some Halo with friends. But a kitten i was watching nearly gave me a heart attack today and I ended up having to wait in the car (Cat Tax). I figured i’d be doing some waiting, and grabbed the Switch and played on that in the car. Moving on from the sad stories though and to the actual games:
The second to last Galaxy is where my memory of this game cuts off. I don’t know why, but all these galaxies i have no memory of. Some of them i can see as just being forgettable (Gold Leaf just being Honey Hive again with less of the Second letter of the Alphabet and Buoy Base also being part of a level in Galaxy 2). But some of these are also really unique, like the ice one.
Buoy base was cool to play through again. Swimming up from under water and seeing the sky that way was pretty. Getting the missiles to chase me was a bit of a challenge though. I did eventually get it all though and made it to the top. I think there’s a secret star on this level so i’ll have to go back too.
The bowser level was what gave me the most trouble, as the movement kept giving me trouble and mario would grab a ledge when i wanted to jump over the edge. I got there after like 5 tries though and beat Bowser’s ass. And by beat his ass i mean i lost the first time and then had to try again and nearly lost a second.
I stopped somewhere in the Engine Room at around 40 stars i think. If i’m not too busy i think i might try and beat it tomorrow, but we’ll have to see.
