As for FPS boost, it depends on the developer, not Sony.
I think the hate for Xbox is mostly because they lack good first party titles. Most of them bombed. Remember Halo Infinite and Redfall?
On one hand, I can kind of agree and see Sony having the courtesy of having PS3 available to stream if you have access to the classics catalogue. But it sucks it’s an extra service you must pay for, and that Metal Gear Solid 4 isn’t on there. (Though that last bit may be Konami’s fault, not Sony’s).

Microsoft are actively pursuing backwards compatibility and trying to make it better, FPS Boost and enhanced resolution are both such prominent features that they’re advertised on the Xbox store for each game that has them.

PS5 has Game Boost but aside from it just being there Sony isn’t offering the same assistance for developers to improve older titles, if this was an Xbox game you bet Microsoft would be helping to implement FPS Boost and get it to 60fps.

Powerpc and x86 are a lot more similar than x86 and cell. One is a feasible goal, the other no one would expect as a goal.
